John Cackowski
Director of Scouting

All throughout this month, PBR National Supervisor Nathan Rode has been spotlighting each and every one of the participating prospects set to take part in this year's illustrious Super 60 showcase at The MAX facility in McCook, Ill., on Sunday, Feb. 2.

The 17th annual Super 60 will feature two Colorado prospects from the Centennial State.

Justin Boyd SS / OF / Legend , CO / 2019

The Oregon State commit, the No. 2 ranked prospect in Colorado and No. 198 overall.  Boyd is a versatile athletic SS who could also start in CF. Boyd, who was PBR All-Colorado last spring, had impressive numbers last spring playing in Continental League. Boyd would hit .485 while scoring 30 runs, stealing 12 bases, and driving in 17. Boyd also led Legend with 7 homeruns on the season. Legend will be a dark-horse in 2019 as a potential team to unseat Mountain Vista as 5A State Champions. Expect Boyd, who has added more muscle weight going into 2019, to showcase some impressive power at the plate, and a sub 6.8 60 time.

The Minnesota commit is Colorado's best two way player. The reigning PBR Colorado player of the year which you can read here. At 6-foot-3, 195-pound RHP/1B. The two way player had a dominant season for the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles helping lead them to the 5A State Championship.
