PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Below is a look at some of the top 2020's who will be in attendance.

Declan Wiesner C / OF / Valor Christian High School, CO / 2020

5-foot-11, 190-pound right hand hitting C/1B.  During the FPG we saw him on the second day behind the plate.  He is a strong athletic catcher who had pop-times of 1.90-1.95.  He sets up well behind the plate and has smooth athletic actions on balls in the dirt.  He throws from an over the top arm slot with accuracy to the bag.  Arm velocity was 76 MPH.  At the plate he had several extra base hits with an uphill swing path and power to the left center gap.

Jack Moss 1B / 3B / Cherry creek, CO / 2020

Recently committed to Virginia. 6-foot-4, 185 pounds. Bats left throws right. Lanky, athletic player. Room to fill in the uniform. Moss has come on strong this summer and fall. Last year played football. Name is getting out there now. Strong, uphill path. Leg kick and down and back hand load sync up very nicely as he gets into a strong hitting position. Looks like a natural hitter who will only continue to improve. Good baserunner.

Owen Best C / 1B / Regis Jesuit , CO / 2020

5-foot-10, 185 pounds. Bats left, throws right. Plus left-handed hitting power for a catcher. Open stance with big load. Great position to hitting lane. Explodes on contact Strong lower half and ball jumps off the bat. Produced a 84 mph exit velocity off tee but shows more power live. Behind the plate was strong. 1.98 pop time off coach and threw 74 mph. Threw out 2 runners in one inning at 2B and 3B. To see video click here

Colby Shade OF / RHP / Fort Collins, CO / 2020

6-foot-1, 165-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP. At the plate he stands open with a long stride to come square.  Lower half is solid through the zone creating good pull side power.  Swing is long with extension out front.  Exit velocity was 85 MPH.  In the field he comes through the ball and stays square on his delivery.  Very athletic and uses his speed to close the gap on balls. Arm is accurate to the bag.  Arm velocity was 85 MPH.

Carson Brown RHP / OF / Rock Canyon, CO / 2020

5-foot-9, 135-pound right hand hitting RHP/OF who rana 7.39 60.  At the plate he starts open with a high leg kick to come square.  He uses a long load of the hands to explode back through the zone.  Swing path is uphill and hands are quick through the zone.  Exit velocity was 89 MPH.  In the field he moves well, he showed good athletic actions and instinct during the game to cut several balls off.  Arm velocity was 81 MPH.  On the mound his motion is simple and effective.  From balance he sinks and drives hard to the plate.  Arm is over the top and arm speed stays up on all pitches.  Fastball was 83 MPH with good command in on the hitter.  He added a 64 MPH slider with good back door action to the right hand hitter.  His two pitch mix was very effective at the TPG.

Tyler Smith RHP / SS / Rock Canyon, CO / 2020

5-foot-11, 170-pound right hand pitcher.  Mechanically sound motion with a quick arm to the plate.  He lands in-line with the plate and drives hard with his back leg.  Arm is over the top and maintains good speed on all pitches.  Fastball was 83 MPH with good command down and in on hitters.  He worked two scoreless innings at the FPG.  Curveball is 66-67 MPH with sharp 11/5 break.
