PBR:  Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:

Esquivel: I am a devoted and confident team player.  I play hard and give 100% effort.  I work hard so that I can be more versatile player so that I can be utilized where needed.

PBR:  What would be your dream school to play baseball at?  If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?

Esquivel: I have not committed to any school as of yet. My goal is to go to a D1 school that offers a good baseball and medical program that would allow me to focus on my field of study and continue my passion of playing baseball.

PBR:  What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?

Esquivel: I am an easy going guy and a very coachable player.  I like to joke around to keep everyone around me relaxed.

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?

Esquivel: When you enter the field, you play your absolute best and as hard as you can no matter the score.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?

Esquivel: Conditioning, speed and agility training, weight lifting, and hitting.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?

Esquivel: During warmups and games when I make bad throw down to second or make a bad play, I slowly repeat my mechanics to get me ready for the next play.

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season:  To get a bigger build and to improve my foot speed while catching.

Two Years:  To have been committed to a good college for baseball.

Four Years:  To be a starter in college while studying in my field.
