Week 4 Player & Pitcher of the Week

Caleb Dameron
PBR Colorado Staff

Each week during the high school season, the PBR Colorado staff will announce our 'Players of the Week' awards for that particular week. Numerous players from across the state will continue to perform and put up numbers weekly, though only one position player and one pitcher can take home this award each week. Below you'll see which players have earned our 'Player of the Week' honor this spring season. We will also highlight those that fell short in our weekly 'Diamond Notes' article, where you can learn more about the standout names across the CHSAA.

NOTE: These submissions were provided from high school coaches from around our state. If you are a coach and interested in nominating a player, please contact Josh Reynolds ([email protected]).

Walker Martin SS / 3B / Eaton , CO / 2023

Walker Martin is your player of the week after going 5 for 5 with a triple, 2 home runs, 10 RBI, 3 walks, 1 stolen base, and 6 runs scored. Martin didn't record a single out at the plate this week and showcased his power with three extra-base hits out of his five total hits. The Arkansas commit now has his batting average up to .571 on the season in 23 plate appearances.

Sean Barta RHP / OF / Rock Canyon, CO / 2023

Sean Barta took things over in Rock Canyon's game against Cherokee Trail as he pitched a 7 inning complete game shutout with only 2 hits allowed, 0 walks, and 7 Ks on just 85 pitches. We can also tell you that Barta produced three hits at the plate going 3 for 4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.
