Connor Thrush OF / RHP / Cherokee Trail, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 1 / POS: 1
Thrush opens up the Colorado 2028 rankings as the #1 freshman within the state. During this summer's Denver Rising Stars event, the Prep Baseball Colorado staff saw Thrush post a fastball up to 85 mph with a quality curveball and changeup mix. The pitchability and feel for spin was also there for Thrush as he was able to spin both the fastball and curveball around 2,400 rpm. Thrush also generated a 90 mph outfield throwing velocity and displayed plenty of bat speed during the hitting portion of this event. The Cherokee Trail freshman is 6'0'' with a wiry and athletic frame that gives him a very high ceiling as he continues to progress.

Holden Goodrich C / OF / Arvada West, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 2 / POS: 1
Goodrich was one of the biggest overall winners from this year's Junior Future Games down at LakePoint in Georgia. The catcher showcased progressed feel behind the dish thanks to his quality blocking, receiving, and overall instincts to go along with a strong toolset. We also saw Goodrich handle just about any arm Team Colorado saw, as he racked up the extra-base hits throughout the week thanks to a simple swing with some easy pop and plenty of bat speed. Goodrich is 5'11'' with present strength and already comes with a 92 mph top exit velocity and a 77.2 mph bat speed.

Thomas Shank SS / OF / Rock Canyon, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1
Shank is an athletic left-handed hitting prospect who also comes with some upside on the mound. During this year's Denver Rising Stars event, Shank posted a 94.2 mph top exit velocity and threw over 85 mph from both the infield and outfield. Quality hands and some twitchy strength help the young prospect display some advanced feel and a unique look. Shank has the ability to play two premium positions at either centerfield or shortstop to go along with a fastball that reached into the low 80s during our summer Rising Stars event. The 6'1'' freshman could have an opportunity to make some noise with his 5A varsity Rock Canyon program in spring 2025 if he continues to develop.

Travis Kenz SS / RHP / Valor Christian, CO / 2028Rankings StateRank: 4 / POS: 2
Kenz is another Junior Future Games standout who projects for a high ceiling. The freshman is 5'11'' and comes with a smooth left-handed stroke that has seen the exit velocity up to 91.2 mph with a 75 mph bat speed. We can also tell you that Kenz has some true feel at shortstop and made plenty of strong defensive plays throughout the games at LakePoint for Team Colorado. There is some two way upside to be had with Kenz as well thanks to a fastball up to 81 mph and a curveball, changeup, and slider combination, all of which he has proven he can throw for strikes.
