We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2021 Scout Day: Baseball U CT. This was a great opportunity for 2022-2023 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. 2021 Scout Day: Baseball U CT - Quick Hits

The Arms

• Richard Kerstetter, 2022, LHP, big bodied, durable LHP, arm action is super clean, working from a natural ¾ slot. The fastball reached 85 mph, with late arm side action. Pounded both secondary pitchers for strikes, can get you out multiple ways.
• Ben Cherico, 2022, RHP, long and large frame, arm is super loose and free, working with minimal effort from a ¾ slot. Fastball is powerful and electric, reaching 88 mph multiple times, with action to the arm side. Throws a nasty sweeping slider at 74-77 mph, has blown up in the past 2-3 months, and needs to be seen.
• Nevin Belanger, 2022, LHP, a quick arm LHP, baseball jumps out of his hand at 80-82 mph, located down to both sides with ease. Changeup is an above average pitch, spin pitch in the mid 60’s. 
• Andrew Keaveney, 2022, LHP, big bodied lefty, working from a higher slot, works down hill, pounded the fastball to both sides of plate at 83 mph. The curveball has velocity to it, showing proper spin and shape. A legit two-way player, can really swing the bat with pop. 
• Bryce Williston, 2022, RHP, really short on the backside, quick arm, hides the baseball, very hard to pick up. The fastball was clocked at 82 mph, with serious arm side life to it. Breaking ball has a chance at 72 mph. Big, durable pitchers frame. 
• Matthew Spenner, 2022, RHP, quick arm RHP, chance to be a legit power arm down the road. Projects for me to be a guy out of the bullpen, with his hard two-pitch mix. The fastball reached 86 mph, with minimal effort, and came out with ease.  The slider reached 75 mph, a chance to be a swing and miss pitch at the next level. 
• Eric Osterhus, 2023, RHP, long and loose on the backside, working from a natural ¾ slot, fastball at 82 mph, with life. Breaking ball has depth, tight spin, at 70-72 mph.
• Kyle Kipp, 2023, RHP, a power arm from the right-side, fastball up to 87 mph, with more in the tank. Working from a clean ¾ slot, fastball has life, located to both sides. Attacks you with multiple pitches, you need to see him.
• Griffin Polley, 2023, RHP, was very impressive, long and loose, up to 86 mph, baseball jumps out of his hand. Heavy arm side sink, with a swing and miss breaker. Polished for a 2023, huge upside and projection on this one.
• Grady Golier, 2022, RHP, power arm forma higher slot, fastball up to 87 mph, throws a heavy ball. Mixed in a true 1/7 breaking ball at 71 mph.
• Alex Oppenheimer, 2022, RHP, working downhill from a higher slot, located all pitches in the bottom part of the zone, fastball has life at 86 mph. The breaking ball is a plus pitch at 69 mph, bigger break, looks to compete at a very high level.

Position Players

• Alberto Cantalini, A 2022 RHH/C, shows a short quick powerful swing, approach more middle to pull, plus bat speed at 98 mph. Wrists and hands super strong. 
• Michael Coyne, A 2022 RHH/SS, showed well on both sides, super smooth defensively, can defend at a high level. The swing has gained strength, with an all fields approach.
• Andrew Keaveney, A 2022 LHH/1B, has monster power to pull side, had an exit velocity of 101mph, level to up path. Runs real well for a bigger/physical player, ran a 6.96 sixty.
• Matthew Vivona, A 2022 RHH/UT, can play all over, smooth actions on both sides of the bag. Offensively, swing is short, with enough pop to get the baseball to the gaps. 
• Charlie LaFraniere, A 2023 RHH/OF, strong physical frame, power and lift to the swing, exit velocity of 94 mph. Threw it well from outfield as well, 88 mph and ran a 6.94 sixty-yard dash. 
• Matthew Spenner, A 2022 RHH/OF, a twitchy athlete, barrel has life and whip to it, more of a pull approach. Threw an easy 85 mph from outfield, look forward to seeing him off the bump.
• Anthony Toresso, RHH/C, real good pop in the hands, swing works freely through the zone. An all fields approach, hands inside, controls the barrel. A plus receiver behind the plate, with arm strength.
• Ben Cherico, RHH/1B, plus bat speed at 97 mph, power potential, has lift and loft to the swing. The arm jumped from the last event, 86 mph across the diamond, long and loose, need to see him off the mound.
• Christain Smith, A RHH/C, lift and loft to the swing, hard, solid contact in batting practice.
• Daniel Bucciero, RHH/SS/OF, smooth swing, behind the baseball on contact, backspin to the gaps. Showed well defensively, soft glove, 80 mph across the diamond. A plus runner at 6.75 sixty.
• Matthew Bucciero, RHH/SS/OF, ran a quick 6.85 sixty, quick swing, compact,driving it to all fields. Can play all three infield spots, bringing a ton of value. 
• Kevin Katragadda, RHH/3B, very strong, powerful swing, middle to pull side approach. Baseball explodes off the bat, exit of 94 mph. Showed a soft glove, moving well to both sides at 3rd base, arm clocked 84 mph. Big follow.
