The Hotlist: Unsigned Seniors

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

As the spring season approaches, there are still plenty of players with the ability to play at the next level that haven’t made a college commitment. Listed alphabetically below are some unsigned seniors from Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area that have something to offer a college program.

Jack Acquaviva, RHP, Westmoreland HS, NY
Acquaviva stands at 6-foot-3, 192 pounds with room to mature physically. He uses a small side step and pivots to his balance point in his delivery, slightly collapsing on his back knee, but he rides his back leg into his landing. His arm action is loose and long through a 3/4 slot. It sits 83-85 mph with arm-side run down in the zone. He features a slider in the 75-76 range with lateral action that he could throw to both sides of the plate. He uses a splitter as his changeup at 71-73.
