Ohio Insider: 2017 Fall Freshman Free Showcase - Sneak Peek

The Arms

Ethan Davis, RHP/OF, West Jassamine, 2021
Scouting Report: A two-way talent that really stood out at the event. On the mound the right-hander has a slower paced tempo with a slight pause at balance point. A tall and fall type guy with a compact delivery. Arm works well through a high-¾ slot, generating well above average arm speed. Ball comes out well with his fastball working downhill at 79-82 mph. The pitch has some late life, especially when down in the zone. Does a nice job of maintaining arm speed on his changeup, that had similar action to his fastball. Also will spin a sharp, 11/5 shaped breaking ball. Most impressively, he was able to locate all three offerings for strikes.  Also was one of the top position players in attendance, impressive both at the plate and in the outfield.

Brennan Pagan, LHP, Wyoming, 2021
