Scouting Report

01/27/18- Lean, athletic frame standing at 5-foot-11, 145 pounds with room to fill out. Offensively, he starts from a slightly open stance with a wide base and big leg kick for his load. Shows quick, loose hands with some bat speed through the zone as he looked to drive the ball in the gaps during batting practice. At times he can let his hands drop, but as he continues to become stronger up top and add to his frame, he should stay more consistent through the zone while also seeing a jump in power. Registered an 85 mph exit velocity in the cage. In the field, he shows good hands and fields the ball under control and out in front. Throws to the bag topped out at 68 mph. Clocked in at 7.36 seconds for his 60 yard dash time.

01/13/18- The lanky 5-foot-11, 145 pound SS/RHP continues to improve as he learns and grows into his body. He is moving better, with more rhythm in the infield. Working through the ball better. Offensively, he also is improving, using his long arms to create leverage while staying level through the zone. On the mound he worked 64-67 mph with his fastball, 55-59 with the curveball and 59-61 with the changeup. There is a lot of upside with present ability. He will continue to improve with strength and reps as there is present tools.

8/18/17 - 5-foot-10, 140 pound SS/RHP. Offensively, he stands upright and uses a leg kick load. When he gets separation in the stride he hows a balanced lower half. There is looseness in the hands with a level path. Will see the benefits of the strength as he gets older as wella s hitting from a stronger front side. Defensively, he shows quality footwork with a good first step. Tends to break down to field the ball and would see benefits working with rhythm through the ball. On the mound, he lands slightly closed and throws from a 3/4 slot. Threw a fastball at 68-70 mph, a curveball at 64-65 mph and a changeup at 60-61 mph.
