2018 Florida Unsigned Senior Games Position Breakdown: Outfielders

Doug Freeman
Florida Scouting Director

Lakeland, FL- On September 8th, the 2018 Florida Unsigned Senior Games took place at Henley Field which featured some of the top uncommitted 2019s in the state. Players participated in a pro-style workout followed by a game.

Over the next week, we will breakdown each player by position through report. Today, we take a look at all the outfielders in attendance:

Trey Bradley OF / RHP / Hagerty, FL / 2019

The 5-foot-11, 172 pound outfielder is still young in the face, with protection and present athleticism. Defensively, moves well in the outfield, throws had carry and topped at 82 mph. Offensively, he works with a leg kick trigger which keeps him with rhythm and on time. He shows a feel to hit, with bat to ball skills. He is level through the zone, with present bat speed and as he adds strength and works to extension will have gap-to-gap power.

Jalen Wright OF / Brandon, FL / 2019

The 5-foot-10, 160 pound outfielder stood out when he made a diving play ranging over his head to the foul line in the game. He showed the ability to come through the ball well and average arm. Offensively, he uses his twitchy athleticism well. While he can have a short stride and cut himself off at times, when he works through the ball to extension, he shows gap-to-gap power potential. Had a great first at-bat, battling until getting a base hit and had a single followed by a stolen base in his second at-bat. Twitchy athlete with overall upside.

Colyn Rubio OF / Miami Sunset Senior, FL / 2019

Standing at 5-foot-10, 150 pounds,  Rubio is a twitchy athlete who came through the ball well in the outfield and throws showed some carry and were accurate, topping out at 84 mph. Offensively, he stands upright and trusts his hands through the zone. Hands worked loosely and produced consistent line drives. Will improve with added strength, exit velocity was 81 mph, but showed a feel for the barrel.

Thomas Lemmerman OF / RHP / Riverdale, FL / 2019

5-foot-10, 150 pounds,  Lemmerman featured a live, loose frame and arm in the outfield. Stood out offensively. During BP, he worked upright with loose hands. Got rotational at times, but showed ability to stay in his lower half more consistently in the game. Had a triple and a single during the game, showed above average bat speed and a quality approach with a feel for the strike zone. Had an exit velocity of 89 mph and has present offensively tools that could generate power as he adds strength.
