2018 Florida Unsigned Senior Games: Quick Hits

Lakeland, FL- This past Saturday, the 2018 Florida Unsigned Senior Games took place at Henley Field which featured some of the top uncommitted 2019s in the state. Players participated in a pro-style workout followed by a game.

Below are quick notes and highlights on several players who stood out throughout the event:

+ 2019 RHP Brian Veniard was a long, loose projectable right-hander. Worked 84-87 with some life in the zone. Struck out two in two innings of work and has a lot of upside.

+ 2019 MIF Kaden Luttermoser is an athletic middle infielder who showed actions that showed stick in the middle. Simple swing and had a hard hit fly ball to center in the game.

+ 2019 OF Jalen Wright made a diving play over his shoulder and ranging to the line in left. There is some twitch and bat speed and has a pair of singles and a stole base in the game.

+ 2019 C Joseph Simmons stood out defensively with athletic setup and a clean and quick transfer. He has present strength offensive and translated to a triple in the game.

+ 2019 MIF Christian Bradshaw showed twitchy actions defensively with a quick transfer and had some feel for the barrel in BP which translated to a single in the game in which he then stole a base.

+ 2019 MIF Ryan Rodriguez showed athletic actions defensively and is a solid all around player. Offensively had a simple, level swing.

+ 2019 OF Trey Bradley displayed athletic actions in the outfield, taking efficient routes to the ball and getting behind his throws, topping out at 82 mph. Drove the ball back up the middle and to the pull side during BP.

+ 2019 OF Thomas Lemmerman showed loose hands defensively and swing translated well in the gameplay where he had a single and a triple.

+ 2019 1B Drew Pflieger recorded one of the top exit velocities of the day at 89 mph off a tee, some feel for the barrel during BP.

+ 2019 OF Colyn Rubio showed carry and accuracy on his throws from the outfield which topped out at 84 mph, which was the top outfield velocity of the group.

+ 2019 C Hudson Welch displayed some solid defensive actions behind the plate with accuracy on his throws to the bag which topped out at 75 mph and pop times in the 2.04- 2.12 seconds range.

+ 2019 C Cameron Martinez showed solid defensive actions and was on the barrel in all three at-bats with three line-outs.

+ 2019 SS/RHP Coltin Lindsey had a solid around of BP with a level, line drive approach which translated to a double in the game. On the mound he also worked down in the zone striking out one.

+ 2019 MIF Joseph Settle drove a ball over the shortstop for a line drive single during gameplay.

+ 2019 MIF Raekwon Williams had a hard line drive single through the SS/3B hole during gameplay. Long, lean frame.
