2019 PBR Florida Player of the Year: Brennan Malone

The 2019 spring high school season in Florida generated some incredible individual moments and performances throughout all corners of the state. As the spring high school season comes to a close, Prep Baseball Report is excited to announce one player who emerged ahead of the competition at all levels in the state of Florida. This player has been selected not only for their outstanding statistical numbers, but also for their overall effect on their high school program.

Brennan Malone

Posting a 0.26 ERA and going 11-0 while allowing only 23 hits in 51 innings pitched.Malone would strike  out 69 batters in those 51 innings. He would earn wins over state champion Jesuit, state runner-up Dunedin, Doral and Canterbury as well as La Miranda.

Malone’s all-around performance, as well as the impact he has had on IMG Academy, has earned him the 2019 Prep Baseball Report Florida Player of the Year honors.

Malone has been selected by the staff of Prep Baseball Report of Florida. The team of PBR area scouts who covered the high school baseball season throughout the spring selected Malone amongst a strong group of candidates from across the state. The Prep Baseball Report staff has been diligently scouting and covering baseball games at baseball diamonds across the state this spring to bring parents, athletes and fans the most comprehensive coverage of amateur baseball across the United States. The dedication and coverage allow Prep Baseball Report a credible way to identify the top athletes each year who best represent the state of Florida.
