2021 Junior Future Games: Team Florida Analysis

The 2021 PBR Junior Future Games took place July 28th - August 1st at Lakepoint Sports in Emerson, GA. Team Florida 13u and 14u participated in a pro-style workout followed by a two game elimination tournament. Team Florida 14u went 2-2 during the tournament, while Team Florida 13u went undefeated and won the 13u Championship.

Today, we will break down each member of Team Florida 13u and 14u with scouting reports. The reports will break down each players tools and projection going forward.

Team Florida 14u Analysis

Zach Beyra OF / RHP / Sagemont , FL / 2025

6-foot-1, 170-pound lean long build. Athletic projectable in the box, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 90 mph. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a tight arm bar load, then uses a controlled toe tap stride. Had an uphill loose swing plane, raw efficient bat speed and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid confident in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 87 mph; had soft developing hands, a natural clean exchange, and athletic rhythmic footwork. Laterally, movements were quick and fielded the ball out front. Decent accuracy to the bag, used a long loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.33. Solid confident on the mound, showed quick consistent arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a quick loose arm action. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and uses decent effort. He has uphill shoulders with an athletic balance point. Lands square and soft with upright falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 78-82 mph; had arm side control and late hard action with tight movement. Has early action and control around the zone on his 11/5 curveball (66-69).

Brady Blanks C / 3B / Dwyer, FL / 2025

6-foot, 165-pound athletic physical frame. Smooth athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 95 mph. Starts in a tall quiet stance with a smooth low load, then uses a controlled small leg kick. Has a simple loose swing plane, electric raw bat speed and high finish. He created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Capable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 76 mph; shows a clean fluid exchange, in control fluid feet, and sure soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Behind the plate, throw downs to second were maxed at 72 mph; had twitchy sure hands, a quick clean transfer, and consistent developing footwork. he had a pop time of 2.12-2.30. Athletic calm setup with average flexibility. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a short quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 7.4 in the 60-yard dash.

Ronald Causby RHP / OF / Northside Christian , FL / 2025

6-foot-1, 145-pound long lanky build. Smooth capable in the infield, displayed a velocity of 81 mph; showed sure consistent hands, a clean exchange, and smooth fluid feet. Athletic from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 85 mph; shows choppy rhythmic feet, a fluid natural exchange, and consistent hands. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot and a longer quick arm action. Clocked a time of 7.63 in the 60-yard dash. Advanced on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a loose arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows easy effort. Has even shoulder and athletic balance point. Lands square with recoil finish. Threw his fastball 80-83 mph; showed running swing and miss action and command in the zone around the zone. Threw a 11/5 curveball (61-63) with gradual action and some command. Changeup (69-69) has arm side accuracy.

Stephen Chucka OF / RHP / The Masters Academy , FL / 2025

5-foot-10, 180-pound athletic physical build. Smooth above average in the box, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 93 mph. Begins in a tall open stance with a smooth small load, then uses a short toe tap stride. Has efficient developing bat speed, loose upward swing plane and level good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Aggressive gap to gap approach. Capable solid his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 79 mph; shows choppy developing feet, a natural lengthy exchange, and consistent sure hands. Fielded the ball out front with raw movement laterally. Had an-over-the-top slot and a longer arm action with decent accuracy to the bag. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.19. Athletic confident on the mound, used a quick loose arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing above average developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher who shows high effort. Showed consistent balance point with even shoulders. Lands square and soft with recoil upright finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 78-80 mph; has command around the zone and hard action with tight movement. Threw his 11/5 curveball (70-71) with gradual sweeping action and sporadic control.

Christian Clarke SS / C / Carrollwood Day, FL / 2025

Florida State Commit, 6-foot, 170-pound athletic physical build. Athletic confident in the box, Clarke recorded an exit velocity of 94 mph. Starts in an active athletic stance with a smooth tight load, then uses a controlled leg kick. Had raw above average bat speed, level loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He produced loud contact and found lots of barrels. Line drive aggressive approach. Advanced confident in the infield, his best throw was registered at 84 mph; had twitchy sure hands, a clean lengthy exchange, and fluid rhythmic footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 75 mph; has aggressive feet, a natural transfer, and sure firm hands. had consistent pop times of 2.04-2.17. Some flexibility and athletic twitchy setup. Used a high ¾ slot with a longer quick arm action while showing decent accuracy to the base. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.81.

Brennan Confreda 1B / LHP / Viera, FL / 2025

5-foot-11, 160-pound lean solid build. Smooth solid during batting practice, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Begins in a balanced tall stance with a compact arm bar load, then uses a controlled leg kick. Bat speed was flashed above average, had a simple loose swing plane and high good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Line drive approach. Hunter Demetree C / 3B / Orangewood Academy, FL / 2025

5-foot-8, 165-pound solid physical build. Solid raw during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. Starts in a balanced crouched stance with a quick arm bar load, then uses a small quick stride. Has flashed efficient bat speed, short simple swing plane and level good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with a lot of loud contact. Line drive aggressive approach. Solid capable in the infield, displayed a velocity of 77 mph; has a fluid natural exchange, sure consistent hands, and choppy rhythmic feet. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Starts in a balanced tall stance with a tight compact load, then uses a controlled leg kick. Bat speed is electric raw, uses a simple loose swing plane and level good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic solid in the infield, his best throw was registered at 83 mph; had a clean fluid exchange, sure consistent hands, and in control choppy footwork. Begins in a balanced tall stance with a smooth slow load, then uses a controlled toe tap stride. Had a loose level swing plane, raw explosive bat speed and high good extension on his finish.
