2021 Senior State Games: North Preview

CJ Butts
PBR Florida Panhandle Regional Director

The 2021 PBR Florida Senior State Games kick off this Saturday and Sunday at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, the spring home of the New York Mets. The event will feature many of the top 2022’s competing for regional bragging rights through a showcase and three games of the two day span. This event is broken down by region, as players are separated into teams of North, South, East, and West Florida.

The 2021 Senior State Games is the second running of the event after a successful inaugural 2020 event. Last year’s event featured 3 players who were selected in the 2021 MLB Draft and 32 players who have since committed and are starting their college baseball careers now. This year we have another talented roster with committed and uncommitted players. We expect the stands to be filled with pro scouts and colleges to watch the Senior State Games.

Today, we will start previewing the players who will be in attendance at the 2021 Senior State Games. We will break down the rosters by region, starting with the North.

North Region

The North Seniors bring an athletic lineup and a pitching staff that should carry the load. Let’s take a look at the roster. On the mound we have LHP and Virginia commit
Bradley Hodges, Jacksonville commits RHP Isaac Williams and LHP Dakota Stone, Princeton commit RHP Ethan Grover, uncommitted LHP Jordan Logsdon, uncommitted RHP Aiden Butler, and uncommitted two-way Jackson Hiatt will all serve time on the bump.

In the infield we have Hiatt, UNF commit Alex Lodise, Notre Dame commit Hunter Russell, uncommitted Ryan Braddock, uncommitted Chris Romano, and uncommitted Dylan Stojanovic. Ranging in the OF will be Alabama commit Max Williams, and Adam Parzych, Jared Matey and Brandon Hoang who are all uncommitted. Samford commit Hayden Perry, UNF commit Eli Maddox, and uncommitted Mason Jantomaso will be behind the plate.

The North heads into the Senior State Games with one of the most talented pitching staffs among the regions and a lineup deep from top to bottom.
