Risers

No. 1 Stoneman Douglas

We have a new No. 1 team after week 7 and it is the Stoneman Douglas Eagles. The Eagles took care of business at the 2022 NHSI in North Carolina going 4-0 to win the Championship. They defeated three tough out of state teams in D.H. Conley (NC), Yucaipa (CA), and Orange Lutheran (CA). They met fellow Floridian team St. Johns Country Day in the final and won 5-3. Douglas now sits 16-2 on the season and are primed to make another run at the State Title.

Fallers

No. 22 Mitchell

After a couple hot weeks in a row, Mitchell fell back a little with 2 losses in Week 7. They split a double header vs Wiregrass Ranch falling 8-6 then following it with a 14-10 win. Mitchell hosted No. 21 Tate on Thursday and fell 5-3. The Mustangs are talented with a lot of pitching depth, they should be able to bounce back quickly.

NR Eau Gallie

Eau Gallie drops out of the Power25 for the first time this season after starting the season ranked 20th. The Commodores are 5-5 in their last 10 games after starting the season 6-0. With 5 games remaining, Eau Gallie will look to get on a win streak before heading to the district playoffs.

Newcomers

No. 24 Pensacola Catholic

Pensacola Catholic continues to be one of the better teams in the Florida Panhandle each year. 12-4 so far this season with wins over Pace, Niceville, and several out of state opponents. Senior Jackson Hiatt has been leading the way offensively batting .558 with 7 home runs and 32 RBI. Catholic makes their Power25 debut at No. 24

No. 25 Fletcher

Fletcher has been a surprising team in the Jacksonville area led by the Witherspoon brothers. 11-2 this season with signature wins over Bartram Trail, Bolles, Trinity Christian, and Sandalwood. Malachi Witherspoon has led Fletcher on the mound and has garnered the attention of pro scouts at each one of his starts. The Senators make their Power25 debut at No. 25.
