George Gilson, Kody Denault, Kyle Boylston - These three sophomores will be asked to step in and fill some big holes. If they have a good years it will be a special season for the Spartans

In 2022 the Spartans have two top MLB Draft prospects and will look for each of them to carry the team. At the plate they will be led by Jordan Taylor who is FSU signee and a true 5 tool player. Taylor has a plus arm, runs a 6.3 60 and has power potential. On the mound they will ride Brad Hodges who is one the top LHP in country. Fastball up to 92 and above average secondary pitches make Hodges a dominant starter. In addition arms like Finn Howell (UNF), Jacob Thomas (LHP 2023) and Isaiah Mamea (2023 USF) will give them depth on the mound to make a serious run. Up the middle they have two elite MIFs in Shawn Andrade (USF) at SS and Finn Howell (UNF) 2B. The duo will lead a very stout Spartan defense. At the plate lefty bats Tyce Moore, Vic Patel, Brad Hodges and Kody Daneault will help balance a lineup that is built on team speed and contact at plate. Last year, the Spartans made it to the state title game only to be upset and finish as runner ups. This year they will look to get back to Ft Myers and finish off with a state title.
