2023 Senior State Games: Preview

The 2023 Senior State Games kicks off this weekend in Vero Beach. The event will be held at Holman Stadium, part of the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. The event will feature 2024 grads and a few 2025 grads from across the state representing their region during showcase and gameplay. The event will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report website as well as on social media. Today, we will highlight the players in attendance in this preview.

The East region features 2024s from the Orlando area and the east coast of the state. The East pitchers will be Christian Borbely, Noah Campbell, Cooper Emery, Hayden Salus, and Noah Ehlers. Behind the plate is Edrick Ayala, Hudson Blank, and Kaiden Jones.
The East infield features Amarri Daniel and Brooks Neuhoff at third base, and Jaden Garcia at first base. The middle infield is Ryley Chapman (UTSA), Jake Figman, Tyler Garcia, and Daniel Herrera. Rounding out the East team are outfielders Finley Holmes, Justin Orridge, and Cooper Wright.
The North region features 2024s from the Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Panhandle areas. Pitching for the North will be Diego Allen (New College of Florida), Vincent Cooke, Chayce Kieck (Clemson), Jerrid Oropeza, and Kyle Powers. Catching for the North will be Franco Chajula, Derek De Jesus, and Benjamin Robinson.
In the infield, the North features Troy Ancayan at first base and Ben Abram, Cale Cox, and Andrew McWilliams at third. The middle infield will be Joshmar Carbonell, Jeremiah Fick Jr, Robert Gage, and Angel Hilario. The outfield for the North will be Stephen Combs, Parker Gunnell, and Kevin Myers Jr.
The South region features players from the Miami area as well as Fort Lauderdale, Naples, and Palm Beach. The South pitchers will be Andrew Allison, Rolando Castillo, Daniel Milian, Chris Miranda, Dane Rossi, and Erick Torres. Behind the plate will be Brennen Barczai, Gregory Caban (Eastern Kentucky), and Zain Diaco.
The infield features Samuel Camacho Jr, Rafael Furcal Jr, and Riley Luft (App State) at the corners. The middle infield will be Evan Escobar, Jael Hernandez, Alejandro Santiago Velazquez, and Aaron Vetter. Rounding out the South are outfielders Connor Cantillo, Julian Irizarry, and Ethan Wells.
The West region is made up of 2024s from the West coast of Florida in Tampa, Clearwater, Sarasota, and more. Pitching for the West is Vincent Antuna, Marshall Cobb, Jackson Krukonis, Jackson Leggett-Walford, and Brady Wright. Catching for the West is Trey Babbitt, Gabe Haught, and Vance Landry (Tampa).
The West infield has Ryan Maggy (West Virginia) and Robin Vergara at third, and Matthew Nguyen at first. Up the middle is Joshua Choe, Domenic Fernandez, Jace Kohler (High Point), and Julius Pfau (Georgetown). Rounding out the West roster in the outfield is Sadarian Austin, Matthew Beckett, and Victor Rios.
