High School baseball has officially begun in the Sunshine State, with the PBR Preseason Classic wrapping up this past weekend I decided to go get a checkout the young and talented Trinity Christian Academy.

Ethan Wheeler ‘26 got the start for TCA making his High School debut. The University of Florida recruit struck out five batters over three innings pitched with a fastball and curveball two-pitch mix. Wheeler’s fastball sat upper 80’s early on paired with a big breaking ball at 2900+ rpm. Wheeler got the win, only allowing one hit, three unearned runs in total did score due to a drop third strikeout.

Trinity Christian got the offense going in the second inning, when Maddox Lee ’24 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

The Jacksonville University recruit Jacob Miller followed up the the RBI base knock with a double to left center field, plating one run.

Landen Moore, Tyler Ellis, and Mason Smith all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.  Smith recorded the last three outs to earn the save for TCA.

TCA tallied nine hits in the game.  Brayden Harris and Ashton Nugent each with two hits a piece.
