The 2023 high school baseball season has completed its fifth week of games. Each week we will update our Power25 HS Rankings with Risers, Fallers, and Newcomers to the rankings. We look forward to covering high school games this spring and hearing your feedback on who you think should be ranked where. Take a look at our Week 5 update.

Risers

#14 Dunedin

After an opening week loss, the Falcons have been on a roll now sitting 10-1 on the season. Their offense has been on fire scoring at least 9 runs in their last 6 games. They have a true ace in LHP Trey Beard who has helped Dunedin hold opponents to just 30 runs on the season.

#18 Benjamin School

Benjamin School debuted in these rankings 2 weeks ago and have been on the climb ever since. The Bucs sit 10-1 on the season and have proven to be one of the top teams in Southeast Florida this spring.

Fallers

#25 South Walton

Coming into this past week undefeated, South Walton went 0-2 in Week 5. 2 losses to tough opponents in #19 Pensacola Catholic and Tate. The Seahawks have a talented group and will look to rebound this week.

NR Westminster Christian

Westminster took on several out of state opponents this past week and finished 1-2-1 on the week. Losses to Houston and Munford from Tennessee and a tie with Christian Brothers knocked Westminster out of the Power25 this week. They finished the week with a win over Tipton-Rosemark Academy (TN).

Newcomers

#23 Durant

Durant has rattled off 6 wins in a row and makes its 2023 Power25 debut this week. Durant took care of business in Week 5 going 3-0 with wins over Leto, Lennard, and Robinson. Durant has shown to be one of the top teams in Tampa Bay this spring.
