This past weekend, January 26th and 27th, the Preseason All-State took place at IMG Acdemy in Bradenton, FL. Preseason All State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida.

Now in its third year, this year's event featured some of the top talent throughout Florida. Nearly 100 prospects from all high school classes took part in a two-day showcase.

Team by team we will break each rosted down with a quick look at some of the noteworthy tools the participating prospects displayed.

Quick Hits

Team White

2021 Zeth Rodriguez (Nature Coast Tech) has a strong build, showed an athletic swing with some pull-side pop, developing gap-to-gap type hitter

2020 Christian Boyles (Riverdale) showed some surprisingly easy range defensively at short, while offensively he showed loose wrists, bat speed and a feel for the barrel.

One of the top remaining uncommitted 2019s, Cal McCallum (Lawton Chiles Tallahassee) has a physical frame, showed ability to play multiple positions and offensively the added strength plays with a compact swing and gap-to-gap power.

2020 Stan DeMartinis (American Heritage Delray) continued to makes strides. Above average defender at multiple positions, but seems to be progressing the most behind the plate. Offensively, the swing is simple with quick hands and had an exit velocity of 94 mph.

South Carolina recruit Jax Cash (IMG Academy) looks the part and showed multiple above average tools. Solid defensive catcher, high offensive ceiling with strength and bat speed with 99 mph exit velocity.

Arizona recruit William Bartlett (IMG Academy) has a physical frame and the strength really plays offensively. Impressed in BP where he drove ball with authority from gap-to-gap. Has real power potential. Exit velocity of 94 mph.

Uncommitted C/1B Henry Politz (Jesuit) has a large, strong frame. A switch-hitter, shows power abilities from both-sides.
