The Florida Preseason All-State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.

We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we look at OF/RHP Bailey Uderitz (American Heritage Delray, 2020). The Pepperdine commit is currently ranked No. 67 in Florida and No. 420 Overall.

Scouting Report

10/11/18 - Pepperdine recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds with a tall, projectable frame with room to fill out. At the plate, he continued to show a loose, whippy swing and offensive upside from the left side of the plate. Gap-to-gap type of hitter who creates hard contact, which translated to the cage where he registered a 92 mph exit velocity. From the outfield, he shows a quick first step going back on the ball and tracks the ball well that are hit into the gaps. Fields the ball out in front and releases the ball out in front with online throws to third and home that topped out at 86 mph. Shows potential on the mound as well where he displayed a quick arm and athleticism. Featured a fastball that sat 84-86 mph while mixing in a 73-74 mph slider that he showed a feel for with late action.

01/27/18- Athletic, lean build 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. Showed quality range in the outfield. Short arm action, throws were accurate, with carry, topping out at 83 mph. Clocked in at 7.26 seconds for his 60 yard dash time, but the gait works and has long strides, so would expect to see that improve. Offensively, the left handed hitter showed loose wrists that he used to generate bat speed and start in the zone. The swing works, staying compact with feel for the barrel. Generated an exit velocity of 89 mph. On the mound he featured a simple wind up with a big leg kick before his delivery, displaying a fastball that sat 79-82 mph along with a 70-72 mph curveball that showed depth and shape. Threw strikes. High upside offensively with the athletic frame.
