The Florida Preseason All-State has quickly become the premier Preseason event in the state of Florida. Over the first two years there have been over 100 committed players in attendance and counting. This event is held for the top 2019s-2022s throughout the state to kick off the Prep Baseball Report's spring high school baseball coverage.

We will begin to spotlight each and every player in attendance. Today, we look at SS Dylan Mock (Lafayette, 2020). The right-handed hitter is currently ranked No. 176 in Florida.

Scouting Report

11/04/18 - Continues to improve and is one of the more interesting bats. Stocky, strong frame with athleticism and some twitch. The swing works, compact, slightly uphill with natural lift. Gets quality separation and the hands work through the zone. Simple, with a strong lower half, The swing should continue to play and will be a bat to follow.

08/22/18- Athletic 5-foot-10, 170 pound middle infielder. Defensively, he has a quick first step and works from the ground up. Overall, a very sound defender who should be able to stick in the middle at the next level. Throws were accurate, with carry, topping out at 83 mph. Offensively, he starts slightly open and works closed to a balanced lower half. He has a simple, level swing with present bat to ball skill. Had a single and a line drive to center on the barrel. Overall, he is athletic and toolsy and a middle infielder to follow.

06/23/18- Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 165 pounds. Ran a 7.11 60 and has a really clean gait and can see him being a well above average runner going forward. Offensively, he stands tall with a confident presence in the box. Can be a little rotational, but stays level through the zone with present bat speed. Consistent hard contact in BP. Athleticism translates defensively where he moves athletically, with strong lower half and solid hands. Topped out at 73 mph, but has present athleticism and bat speed.
