FTB held their 2020 Fall tryouts this past weekend in Orlando. Friday featured bullpens for 2021-2024 classes. Saturday a full pro style workout, consisting of defensive evaluations and batting practice. Sunday featured live games for all players. There was a lot of top shelf talent in attendance who stood out from the 2021- 2024 classes. Take a look.
2021
David Eckaus, LHP, Bloomingdale
The FIU commit has a projectable frame, with room for continued physical development. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot, short to long arm action, arm works. FB was up to 87 mph with arm side running action. SL 80-81 mph, with sharp action, commanding down in the zone.
Bobby Boser, RHP/INF, Wiregrass Ranch
The USF commit showcased athletic actions on the mound, with a controlled gather, reaching a consistent balance point. Arm works from a high 3/4 arm slot, long/quick arm action. FB topping out at 89 mph with downhill action.
Greene is an uncommitted, 6-foot-1 all around athletic two way guy. On the bump worked slow and in rhythm, reaching a consistent balance point. Arm works from a high 3/4 arm slot, with long to short quick arm. FB 87-89 mph, CB 66-68 mph. More velo to come. At the plate, Greene hit a home run to deep CF.
