The FTB tryouts always attracts the top talent in the state of Florida and abroad, but it is also known for helping players in the FTB family get seen by college coaches so that they can also pursue their dream of playing at the next level. As was the case on the weekend of December 9-11, FTB tryouts also included some uncommitted 2015 guys who wanted to get another look. Here are some notes on some of those guys.

+ SS Christian Corabello 2015 (Puerto Rico) is an athletic shortstop who has the feet, hands, and plus arm to stay there. Lean, right-handed, strong projectable body that will only put on more muscle. At the plate he has a simple load and good bat path that produces hard lines with carry. Has quickness in the bat that makes the ball jump off his bat.

+ 1B/OF/C Patrick Trevisani 2015 (Trinity Prep) is a 6-foot-2, 205 pound catcher, first baseman, outfielder with an athletic strong body that still has room to fill out. Has some arm strength from all of these positions. 1.94 pop time. At the plate he has some quickness in his hands and stays inside the ball well keeping his bat through the zone. Had a backside line drive off of a curveball and a line drive double off the warning track to left field in the game.

+ LHP Wilson Lorenzo Jr. 2015 (Cypress Lake HS) is a 5-foot-11 170 pound left-hander with a loose lean projectable body on a smaller frame. Has an over-the-top delivery and uses his lower half very well. Fastball was 77-79 mph with some downward tilt. Changeup was 67-69 mph. and curveball was 62-63 mph with ¾ rotation.

+ RHP Chandellor Benton 2015 (Eau Gallie HS) is a 6-foot-1 170 pound right-hander with a loose lean projectable body. Had a high ¾ slot. His fastball was 82-85 mph with some tail. His curveball was 72-73 mph with a 12/6 downward rotation. His changeup was 77-78 mph. He threw all three pitches for strikes.

+ LHP/OF Ivan Borbon 2015 (Lake Howell HS) is a 6-foot 165 pound left-hander who worked out as pitcher and outfielder. He looked like his future was on the mound. He had a loose lean projectable body with an over the top arm slot. His fastball was 76-78 mph. His changeup was 72-73 mph. His curveball was 60-61 mph. Control issues seemed to be from trying to overthrow.

+ 3B/RHP Hunter Brown 2015 (University Christian HS) is a 6-foot-3, 180 pound right-hander who also worked out at third base. He had a loose lean projectable body with an over-the-top arm slot. His fastball was 80-81 mph. His curveball had a sweeping break to it and throws it in any count. More velocity to come. Stuff is better when he gets extended out front. Throws strikes.

Brown ran a 7.18 60 yard dash at the North Florida Prospect ID with an 80 mph exit velocity. Is athletic  with a balanced approach at the plate.

+ RHP Jamie Johnson 2015 (Eau Gallie HS) is a 6-foot-1, 190 pound right-hander with a strong athletic body.  He showed good control with both his fastball and slider from a short, ¾ arm angle. Fastball was 80-82 mph. Slider was 70-71 mph. Has better velocity when he stays closed. Occasionally pulls off line.
