Florida 2023 Rankings: Post Fall Update

Rocco Iervasi
PBR Florida Director of Operations/Area Scout

The end of the 2022 Fall season is approaching. Players shined throughout the summer and fall seasons and a modest update was needed for the 2023 rankings. With this update, the class came into better focus as we now head into the winter and get ready for the 2023 High School season. With that being said, take a look at our newest Florida 2023 Rankings Update.

The top of the class remains the same. 3B Aidan Miller (JW Mitchell) has held down the No. 1 spot in the state since his freshman year and is looking like a first round pick come next July. Southpaw Cam Johnson (IMG Academy) comes in at No. 2. He brings his mid 90s fastball down to Florida as he looks to impress at IMG this spring.

No. 3 is the only real movement inside the top 10, and that is SS Arjun Nimmala (Strawberry Crest) coming up to No. 3. The FSU commit has showcased an elite glove at shortstop while the bat has made tremendous jumps in the last few years. Nimmala has entered the Day 1 conversation for next year’s Draft.

Power hitting infielder Braden Holcomb (Foundation Academy) enters at No. 4. The 6-foot-4, right-handed hitter has continued to show off his hit and power tools at a high level and is a must watch every time he steps in the batter's box. Rounding out the top 5 is southpaw Hunter Dietz (Calvary Christian) who at 6-foot-6, 230 pounds, continues to get stronger and looks to be a frontline starter at the next level.

Risers

Bradley Link, RHP, Dwyer

Outside the top 10 are several players who have made jumps as of recent. One of those is RHP Bradley Link. The arm action was always clean and quick but the strength came this year as the now Michigan commit runs his fastball up to 96. An electric arm with a lot to like heading into his senior year.

Holden Brauner, OF, Windermere

Brauner showed off his ability to hit at a high level in 2022. The left-hander shows quick hands and intent at the plate with a knack for finding barrels. The recent Tennessee commit is an impact bat and makes a big jump in the rankings.

Robert Nedry, SS, Westminster Academy

Nedry is another sweet swinging left-hander on the rise. Nedry continues to add physicality now at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. He hit all summer and fall, and stood out at the 2022 Senior State Games with above average bat speed and power potential. The NC State commit will be a dangerous middle of the order bat heading into his senior year.

Reilly Witmer, RHP, Naples

Witmer is a physical right-hander that projects well at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds. He displays easy velo in the low 90s backed with an above average changeup. The fastball is heavy with life and misses barrels. The Gators commit projects well going forward.
