Florida Burn Tryout Standouts

The Florida Burn hosted their 2019 Fall tryout Saturday, August 17th and Sunday, August 18th at Twin Lakes Park in Sarasota, FL. PBR Florida was in attendance to cover the event. Weather caused Saturday’s bullpens and batting practice to move to the indoor cages. Sunday featured a defensive workout. Today, we look at some of the standouts from the Florida Burn Fall tryout.

Standouts

Satchel Norman RHP / C / OF / Sarasota, FL / 2021

FSU commit. Athletic and strong frame while sitting 86-86 mph with his fastball and loose arm action. High ceiling for growth and strong lower half and repeatable delivery.

 

 

Trace Goforth RHP / Palmetto, FL / 2020

Pensacola State commit. Athletic and lanky frame and sitting 85-86 mph and 2100 spin rate with his fastball and hitting spots consistently. Curveball was sitting 72-73 mph and 2050 spin rate and good depth. Repeatable delivery and hit spots with all pitches.
