Scouting Report

02/20/18- FIU recruit. The strong bodied catcher continued to do what he did all last year, find the barrel. He may not have one plus tool, but always seems to be in the right place at the right time. He hit a double in his first at-bat, had an important stolen base and caught well. Defense, arm and hit are all above average and will be a 2019 follow.

05/28/17 - Rozenblum continues to develop defensively both at third and behind the plate. Where he really stands out though is in the batters box. He has a simple setup and a quiet load. With a short, quick swing he consistently finds the barrel and makes hard contact. He never looks over matched and currently has gap-to-gap power with more to come.

03/08/17 - Rozenblum would make his impact early with an RBI single in the first off of Santana to drive in De La Fe and give Cavalry a 1-0 lead. The game would remain 1-0 until the seventh when Rozenblum would hit a homerun to left field off of a 89 mph fastball from Heritage reliever and Miami commit Bailey Mantilla. He looks much strong and getting extension through the zone in his swing. Very interesting follow.

10/08/16- 5-foot-11, 170 pounder with a strong, athletic, projectable build. Good lower half. Displays some flexibility with a wide setup behind the plate. Receives well and blocks the ball well not only in front of him, but to right and left as well. Balanced setup at the plate with a quick bat, good hands. Starting to show a more fluid swing all the way through and use more of the plate. Had a line drive single into right field during the game.

6/22/16- The 5-foot-11 175-pounder was very solid defensively, both receiving and blocking well above average for his class. Rozenblum also showed a quick transfer and strong arm with his best pop time being a 2.02. At the plate, Rozenblum has very quick hands through the zone creating some power and an 86 mph exit velocity. Although he still doesn’t use his lower half well and can become very uphill in his swing, he will continue to improve when he does stay in his legs and stay level with more at-bats will have above average power. Rozenblum already has above average all around tools for his class and will be interesting to follow to see how he continues to develop.

5/13/16- 5-foot-11, 170-pounder with a lean, live, projectable build. Strong lower half with athleticism. Slightly open stance at the plate with a good step for his load. Stays balanced and shows good hand eye with hip rotation on his swing. Makes solid contact and the ball jumps off the bat. Doubled off the top of the left field wall at Jet Blue Park. Aggressive on the base paths and makes good turns.
