Scouting Report

1/27/18- Alabama recruit. Stands at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds. Looks to have grown a bit and filled out. Broad shoulder, strong frame with more room to continue to ass strength. Defensively, he works under control. He could work with a bit more rhythm with the feet to and through the ball, but overall a solid defender. Shows plenty of arm to slide to third at the next level at 88 mph. Offensively the added strength showed in present pull side power. There is present bat to ball skills and even more power potential in the future. Exit velocity was 94 mph. Projects as an above average hitter with above average power at the next level and will be a draft follow for 2019.

10.11.17- Alabama recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds with a lean, athletic frame and room to fill out. The PBR ProCase participant continued to look strong at the plate by going 1-3 during the game which included a single into right field and a hard hit line drive out straight at the center fielder. In the video here, Keller finds himself in the hole 0-2 but works his way back to run it to a full count by fouling off several pitches and laying off some others out of the zone. On the final pitch of the at-bat, he lets the ball travel into the back right corner of the plate and takes it the other way for soft line drive single into right field. In the field, he shows solid defensive actions with a strong and accurate throw across the diamond. Keller will continue to be one of the top follows in his class not only at the state level, but on the national level as well as he continues to mature and fill out his frame.

05/20/17 - Alabama recruit.  Keller continues to get better every time we see him. He has a long athletic frame, that has put on 10-15 pounds and cine easily put on 15-20 more. The actions and hands work, the frame projects him as a potential above average defending third baseman. He has a balanced, short swing with a line drive,  gap-to-gap approach. He can get long at times, but as he continues to face velocity that should shorten. He showed some present pull side power in batting practice and should have much more to come.

01/21/17- Alabama recruit. The high waisted 6-foot-1, 170 pound 3B/SS has really continued to refine an impressive toolset.Had one of the louder rounds of BP on the day.  Looks the part. Long and athletic with a fluent set-up. He has shown flashes of power in the past, but he is consistently driving the ball with more authority.  Ball jumped off the bat well, as the swing continues to shorten with more consistently he will hit with both average and power. Also showed strong actions in the infield and really projects to fill out and be an above average defender at third base with enough in the bat to stay there at the next level.

11/12/16- Committed to the University of Alabama.

9/23/16 - The high waisted, lean and projectable infielder impressed more and more throughout the weekend. At the plate the right handed hitter is lanky with above average bat speed. After being a little long the first round of batting practice, he made the adjustment and shortened the swing resulting in an impressive second round driving balls from gap to gap with pull side power. Defensively he has an average first step with good hands. The frame and bat to project to put on some strength and be an above average power bat. With that he has enough arm to stay on the left side and most likely eventually sliding to third. Very projectable and a high follow.

9/14/15- 6 foot, 150 pounds with a lean, athletic, and projectable frame. Easy and loose actions all over the field. Easy lefty stroke with a nice swing plane. Good hitters' hands and hits to all fields. Runs well with long, loose strides.
