Florida Regional: Day 2 Scout Blog

The PBRT Florida Regional continued in Bradenton, Florida with action in the Upperclass Division. The tournament will last two days with each team getting 4 total games. Today, we will take a look at our Scout Notes from Day 2 at the Florida Regional. See who stood out to our PBR Florida Scouts.

Alan Gil RHP / IMG Academy, FL / 2022Sold body with juice in his swing. Showed gap power at the plate and solid actions in the infield. Raw on the mound. Showed a slider that will continue to develop. Has potential, but needs polish. FB: 83-86

Chase Ingram 1B / RHP / IMG Academy, FL / 2022Good size and frame. Fastball has armside run and can be tough on right handers. The curveball works well off of the fastball with sharp spinning action. FB: 87-88 |

Jimmy Koza 2B / RHP / IMG , FL / 2022Compact swing and speed on bases and in the outfield. Speed and quickness are bolstered by good instincts and reads. Uncommitted follow.

Mario Lopez OF / N/A, FL / 2025Lopez has a stocky, yet athletic build. Makes consistent solid contact. Has a solid gap-to-gap approach at the plate with a good feel for the strike zone.

McCabe Moyer OF / 1B / Cathedral Catholic , CA / 2022Left handed arm and swing. Speed on bases with short compact swing. Gap power. Had triple and double coupled with good reads on the bases. Range in the outfield allows him to play all three outfield positions. Uncommitted

Dalton Percy OF / Sebring, FL / 2023Swing produces hard contact and uses all fields. Had multiple multi-hit game. Good instincts on bases and in field. Needs to use body to allow arm to unleash potential from outfield.

Alejandro Rodriguez C / 3B / Montverde Academy, FL / 2023Big strong frame behind the dish. Great feel for the barrel at the plate. Looks to do damage with a strong, compact swing. Present power. Turned around a fastball for a no doubt home run. Solid defender as well. Good player to follow.
