Future Games Spotlight: C/SS Broedy Poppell

The 2019 PBR Future Games took place July 31-August 3 at LakePoint in Cartersville, GA. The event was filled with the top uncommitted 2021 and 2022 players in the country. The players participated in a pro-style workout and three games in front of all the PBR staff and over 300 college coaches. This week we continue spotlighting each of the 25 players from Team Florida at the Future Games. Next up is 2021 C/SS Broedy Poppell (Maclay).

Scouting Report
Opened eyes on both sides of the ball via consistent in-game barrels and showing his versatility on defense. Caught in the first game and blocked exceptionally. 2.07-2.12 pop times with a quick arm and good feet. Then he played a stellar shortstop in game 2 making all the routine plays and a diving play up the middle. Ran a 7.16 60-yard dash. Bat to ball skills of the switch hitter are advanced from both sides. Has good launch from backside. Tripled to pull side gap on a 93 mph fastball. Just an all-around solid baseball player that will make an impact wherever he goes at the next level with his ability to play anywhere and do whatever is asked of him.
