Over the holiday season we updated and expanded our Class of 2021 Rankings. The Top 10 in the state remained unchanged, however there were a number of prospects who used the fall and winter to improve their stock. Today, we will focus on those prospects.

Recent North Carolina commit RHP Owen Flynn (Windermere) continues to see his stock climb. Flynn is the highest ranked riser, climbing from No. 25 up to No. 13 in the state. The 6-foot-3, 160-pound right-hander has a lot of upside in his frame with long, lanky appendages. His arm works super quick, in a long, loose motion, allowing him to run his fastball up to 86 mph. As his frame fills out and he physically matures, expect to see continued velocity gains.

Making a move into the Top 20 is SS/3B Jonah Diaz (North Broward Prep; Florida commit), as he rises from No. 29 to No. 20. Not a riser by definition, C Satchel Norman (Sarasota; Florida State commit) returns to the rankings at No. 21 after a brief hiatus. Norman was impressive in Ft. Myers over Columbus Day weekend back in October, helping vault him back into the rankings.

A prospect who came onto our radar in late August, 3B Brett Blair (Buchholz; uncommitted) kept the momentum rolling into the fall and winter. Blair made his first impression at the Top Prospect Games at Stetson in August. One of the biggest winners on the day, he showcased present athleticism and multiple above average tools. His offensive abilities stood out additionally, swinging a whip-like bat while staying compact with his strong lower half. The potential for a hit and power combo is there.
