Jaden Rudd led the way for Mosley on the mound and the offense scored in four out of five innings, pounding out 10 hits in a 10-0 victory over Escambia High in the first round of the FHSAA playoff.
Jojo Blackmon (UAB commit) led off the game with a single to right for Escambia. An error followed by a passed ball quickly had runners in scoring position with 1 out but Rudd struck out back to back hitters and it was all Mosley from there. Rudd worked into the 5th inning going: 4.2 IP 3 H 0 R 3 BB 9 K.

Rudd is confident and shows athletic actions on the mound with a loose arm over the top. Natural arm side run from a high 3/4 slot.

The Dolphin offense plated 3 runs in their opening frame. Tyler Wave got things going with an RBI double to right center scoring Rudd. After a walk, Cole Horton lined a 2-run single into right to take a quick 3-0 lead.

Have liked the approach from Horton all day as he stays through the ball well. Laces this one to the opposite gap and scores 2.@PBRFlorida pic.twitter.com/PjPzjQmZA6
Mosley added on in the 3rd as Ethan Campbell (Jacksonville commit) and Rock Holland delivered consecutive bloop doubles down the right field line making it 4-0. Trent Nelson drove in Holland with a perfectly executed safety squeeze to push the lead to 5-0.
A sac fly from Campbell tacked on another run in the 4th and Cole Horton (3-4, 4 RBI) lined a gapper to bring in 2 more in the 5th. Mosley would add 2 more runs in the inning via HBP and a passed ball to put the run rule in effect and win 10-0 in 5 innings. They will host Milton next week in the 5A Region 1 Semifinal.
