Palmer Trinity Advances with First Round District Win

In the first round of 3A Districts in South Florida, Palmer Trinity faced off against LaSalle Both teams were strong on the mound Monday, but Palmer Trinity outlasted LaSalle 3-1. 

Sam Burnitz got the start for Palmer Trinity and went the whole way. He allowed one run on six hits while striking out three.

Palmer Trinity got the offense rolling in the second inning, when Jake Font doubled to score the first run of the game. Andres Williams later singled to make it 2-0.

In the 4th, Tommy Barcinas Jr. added to the Falcons lead as he doubled in another RBI to make it 3-0.

LaSalle got on the board in the 6th inning as Luis Penate hit a solo home run to left to make it 3-1.

LaSalle was able to get the tying run on base in the 7th, but Sam Burnitz shut the door to lead Palmer Trinity to a 3-1 win.
