Parrish Community Takes Down Cardinal Mooney

Yesterday, I headed to Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School to watch the Cougars take on the Bulls of Parrish Community High School. Johnny Antonucci for Mooney and Nick Curbelo for Parrish squared off. Mooney got the scoring started first when Eddie Zaun and Johnny Antonucci hit back to back singles. A wild pitch and a Cooper Middleton sac-fly put Mooney up 2-0. Future Games Alum and South Florida commit Jack MacKinnon leadoff the 3rd with a single but the Cougars couldn't find a way to get him in.

Things were quiet until the 4th when Parrish answered back. The Bulls loaded the bases on 3 straight singles by Will Rawls, Matthew Thompsen, and Jonathan Massen. Jabrien Quiles, Logan Maguire, and Calin Heath all had RBIs in the inning. An error by the Cougars would lead to an insurance run in the 5th for Parrish. They would add two more in the 6th on another costly error by Mooney.
