American Heritage

Head Coach: Mike Macey

2022 Draft Prospects

Name, Position, Class (College Commitment)

Brandon Barriera, LHP, 2022 (Vanderbilt)

Barriera has some of the best stuff in the entire 2022 class. The 6-foot-1, 170 pound southpaw sits low 90s with the fastball and has been all the way up to 96 mph. Barriera has a quick arm with swing and miss ability with all three of his pitches. His slider is sharp and misses barrels and his changeup, which may be his best pitch, is an above average/plus pitch. Look for Barriera's name to be called early in July's Draft.

Other Notable Prospects

Evan Dobias, RHP, 2022 (Virginia)
Erik Blair, LHP/OF, 2022 (Florida)
Brandon Gonsalves, RHP, 2022 (UCF)
Ray Bermudez, OF, 2022 (Miami)
Nico Ferraro, OF 2022
Spencer Butt, SS, 2023 (Florida State)
Mateo Serna, C, 2023

Schedule

Wednesday, February 16 - 7:30 PM vs IMG Academy
Friday, February 18 - 4:30 PM vs Sandalwood

Champagnat Catholic

Head Coach: Jorge Aguas

2022 Draft Prospects

Name, Position, Class (College Commitment)

Jurrangelo Cijntje, BHP, 2022 (Mississippi State)

Cijntje is one of the most intriguing prospects in high school baseball. He is a "both handed pitcher," who is a legit prospect from both sides. Sits low 90's topping 96 from the right side, and high 80's from the left side. He is more advanced from the right side with a sharp swing and miss slider. From the left side, he has a slower curveball that can still be an out pitch. Cijntje is the type of prospect scouts will take a chance on because the upside can be so rewarding.

Other Notable Prospects

Christopher Martinez, SS, 2022 (Bethune-Cookman)

Schedule

Thursday, February 17 - 4:30 PM vs IMG Academy
Saturday, February 19 - 12:00 PM vs St. Johns Country Day

Miami Christian

Head Coach: Chris Cuadro

2022 Draft Prospects

Name, Position, Class (College Commitment)

Bryant Zayas, SS, 2022 (NC State)

Zayas is an athletic middle infielder with a lot of tools to like. Above average runner, with an above average arm and glove at short. Short, compact swing at the plate. Can get a bit stiff at times but knows how to find the barrel.

Other Notable Prospects

Jameson Caro, OF, 2022
Freddy Oquendo, OF, 2022 (FIU)
Henry Martinez, RHP, 2022 (FIU)
Roylan Quevado, INF, 2022 (FIU)
Jonathan Gonzalez, INF, 2022 (Montreat College)
Christopher Diaz, OF, 2023 (Miami)
Jeter Polledo, INF, 2023 (Wake Forest)

Schedule

Friday, February 18 - 7:30 PM vs St. Johns Country Day
Saturday, February 19 - 3:00 PM vs TNXL Academy

Miami Springs

Head Coach: David Fanshawe

2022 Draft Prospects

Name, Position, Class (College Commitment)

Jason Torres, 3B, 2022 (Miami)

Torres is a physical third baseman with an above average hit tool. Dominated during the 2021 high school season as was very impressive at our PBR ProCase last summer. Drives the ball with intent to all fields with the ability to launch on contact.

Jesus Pena, SS/3B, 2022 (Chipola)

Pena is a strong middle infielder who showcased raw power at the 2021 Senior State Games. Hands are loose in the box with above average bat speed. Can get to any pitch in the strike zone and uses the whole field. Third base may be his long term future but has the hit tool to stick there.

Other Notable Prospects

Abdriel Delgado, OF, 2022 (Jacksonville)
Jesus Gonzalez, LHP, 2022
Saul Arauz, RHP, 2022 (ASA College)
Jordan Perez, C, 2023

Schedule

Monday, February 14 - 4:30 PM vs TNXL Academy
Wednesday, February 16 - 4:30 PM vs Georgia Premier

Westminster Christian

Head Coach: Emil Castellanos

2022 Draft Prospects

Name, Position, Class (College Commitment)

Sal Stewart, 3B, 2022 (Vanderbilt)

Stewart was dominant in 2021 leading the state in home runs. One of the best all around hitters in the class, Stewart has elite bat speed with an ability to drive the ball to all fields. Stewart has a stocky, strong frame and moves well for his size. Has an above average arm at third, but the hit tool is what scouts will salivate over.

Other Notable Prospects

Rene Ramirez, SS, 2022
D'Angelo Ortiz, INF, 2022
Allan Jorge, OF, 2022
Julian Hernandez, RHP, 2022

Schedule

Monday, February 14 - 7:30 PM vs Cypress Creek
Tuesday, February 15 - 4:30 PM vs Georgia Premier
