TOP PLAYERS

Austin Knight, SS, 2018 (Tennessee)
Max Ferguson, INF, 2018 (Tennessee)
Nathan Skinner, RHP/1B, 2018

X-FACTOR
Hunter Barco. The extremely talented two-way player led his team in wins as a freshman going 12-0 with a 0.56 ERA while also hitting .216 with 16 RBIs and 2 home runs and followed that up with a 7-2 season with a 1.84 ERA while hitting .294 with 5 home runs and 18 RBIs. He has made some huge strides this summer and should be a dominant force on the mound Widely regarded as one of the top players in the country in the 2019 class, he can run his fastball to the mid 90’s and has shown above average power in his bat.

KEY PLAYERS LOST
Clemente Inclan, 3B, 2017 (North Carolina

OUTLOOK
The Bulldogs story has looked about the same each of the last three seasons with 2016 and 2017 ending in a state title. Returning three of their top five hitters as well as their best arm in Virginia commit, Hunter Barco. Bolles is deep and talented. Austin Knight and Max Ferguson will look to replace the big bat of Clemente Inclan, but the offense has experience and a strong middle of the order with Knight, Ferguson and Barco. On the mound, they return their top two arm in Barco and Nathan Skinner, who combined for 15 of their 21 wins in 2017. The talent, depth and experience bring Bolles in at No 17 in the Preseason Power25.
