Major Posey, RHP/1B, 2019 (UCF)

X-FACTOR
Brandon Walker.
One of the top players in his class, the extremely athletic two-way player has tools to dominate both offensively and on the mound. Walker was 6-1 with a 1.85 ERA while hitting .410 with 24 RBIs. The toolset is that of a potential top pick in 2019 and could carry the Eagles in 2018.

OUTLOOK
A somewhat down year for a traditional 3A powerhouse, the North Florida Christian Eagles return nearly every position player and all of their pitchers from 2017.  Led by Florida State recruit Brandon Walker, who led the team in both wins and average, has the chance to be a dominant force on the mound and at the plate.  Bolstering the rotation is 2018 draft prospect Matthew Dickey who was 2-2 with a 1.49 ERA with 71 strikeouts in 37.2 innings, and Major Posey who was 4-2 with a 1.34 ERA. Offensively the Eagles were also led by Walker and JD Tease, who batted .404 with 30 RBIS. There is a depth of talent both on the mound and at the plate that brings North Florida Christian in at No 8 in the Preseason Power25.
