ImageLast night I headed over to Mosley High School for the 3rd game on my Panhandle Trip. The Mosley Dolphins were hosting the South Walton Seahawks. This matchup saw Charlie Willcox take on Jakob Lightsey. The scoring got started early for the Dolphins as Casey Morgan homered to give them a 1-0 lead.

The lead was quickly erased as Braxton Varnes hit a solo homerun. Mosley regained the lead in the 2nd after a couple walks and a wild pitch. Ronan Fowler and Frank Wells hit back to back singles to start off the 3rd followed by a Coleman Borthwick 3-run homerun to give the Seahawks a 4-2 lead.

Casey Morgan walked and Luke Elmone singled in the 3rd. Morgan later scored on a pass ball to cut the Seahawks lead to just 1. Neither team had anything going in the 4th as both relievers settled in, Borthwick for South Walton and Jordan Martinez for Mosley. Wells led off the 5th with a double for South Walton later scoring on a wild pitch.

Borthwick continued to cruise, giving up 2 sporadic hits in his 5 innings of relief. Both teams' bats went colder in the later half of the game as South Walton headed to a 6-3 victory.
