The Florida Summer Senior Showdown took place June 8-9th at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona. The two-day event featured players from  the 2021-2022 classes participating in a pro-style workout followed by gameplay in front of the PBR Florida Scouting Staff.

Player Analysis

Nash Adkins LHP / LHP / West Orange, FL / 2021

6-foot, 180-pound solid frame. On the mound, uses an long arm action with an over-the-top arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher. Balance point is tall with square shoulders during delivery. Lands closed with upright finish. Threw his fastball 73-77 mph with a max of 78 mph; had control around the zone and running action. (Max spin 1819; Avg 1572). His curveball (59-62) has cutting action and low in the zone command. (Max spin 1636; Avg 1525). Had fading action and in the zone control on his changeup (55-62). 


Victor Agosto 3B / 2B / Coral Reef, FL / 2021

6-foot, 205-pound solid physical build. Capable in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 86 mph. (64.24 mph bat speed average). (20.16 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced stance with a slow load, then uses a small leg kick stride. Bat speed was average, showed an an inside-out swing plane and high finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle approach. Smooth in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 75 mph; showed sure hands, consistent feet, and a quick clean exchange. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball out front. Used a short arm action with a ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.83. 


KC Anchors C / 1B / American Heritage Delray, FL / 2022

6-foot-1, 205-pound athletic physical frame. Capable in the box, Anchors recorded an exit velocity of 93 mph. (67.23 mph bat speed average). (19.42 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall open stance with a quick load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed a short simple swing plane and high finish. Barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Behind the plate, his best throw downs of the day reached a max velocity of 78 mph; showed athletic quick feet, soft hands, and a quick exchange. showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.96-2.08. Tons of flexibility and athletic setup. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a short quick arm action and a ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.04. 


Jackson Barnett 1B / Sandalwood, FL / 2022

6-foot-2, 220-pound solid physical frame. In the box, Barnett had an exit velocity of 93 mph. (64.66 mph bat speed average). (19.90 mph hand speed average). Started in an open stance with a small load, then used a small leg kick stride. Bat speed was average, displayed an upward swing plane and high finish. He created some loud contact and found some barrels. Pull side approach. Capable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 71 mph; has firm hands, a natural exchange, and choppy feet. Fields the ball out front. Decent accuracy to the bases, used a ¾ slot with a longer arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.69. 


David Bauer OF / 2B / Cardinal Gibbons, FL / 2022

5-foot-9, 145-pound athletic build. Confident during batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 88 mph. (65.39 mph bat speed average). (20.45 mph hand speed average). Begins in a crouched open stance with an arm bar tight load, then uses a short stride. Has a short level swing plane, quick bat speed and level finish. Created some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 84 mph; has a quick exchange, soft hands, and quick feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were quick. Used an-over-the-top slot with a long quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.54 60-yard dash. 


Dallin Beggs 3B / SS / Saint Augustine, FL / 2021

5-foot-11, 145-pound solid physical frame. Capable in the box, Beggs clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. (60.30 mph bat speed average). (20.78 mph hand speed average). Begins in an open tall stance with a slow controlled load, then uses a leg kick stride. Had a short level swing plane, efficient bat speed and level finish. Was able to create some loud contact and found some barrels. Pull side approach. Athletic in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 72 mph; had smooth quick footwork, soft consistent hands, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were quick. Showed a short quick arm action and a low ¾ slot with decent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.17. 


Alexander Berinato RHP / 1B / Palm Harbor University, FL / 2022

6-foot, 170-pound lean athletic frame. Capable on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle and a quick arm action while showing quick arm speed. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who uses easy effort. Showed athletic consistent balance point and even shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Slider (66-67 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 80-83 mph; has very consistent command and running tight action with sharp movement. (Max spin 1797; Avg 1562). His curveball (68-70) had sweeping swing and miss action and consistent around the zone command. (Max spin 1968; Avg 1826). Had command low in the zone and fading late action on his changeup (73-74). 


Christian Bosque SS / C / Westminster Christian , FL / 2022

5-foot-11, 185-pound. During batting practice, the switch hitter had an exit velocity of 88 mph. (57.79 mph bat speed average). (19.86 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall stance with a tight arm bar load, then used a toe tap leg kick stride. Bat speed was some, showed a short level swing plane and level finish. Gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 75 mph; had a fluid exchange, sure hands, and choppy footwork. Behind the plate, he recorded a position velocity of 71 mph during throw downs; has a natural exchange, firm hands, and average feet. consistently had pop times of 2.11-2.19. Staggered setup with average flexibility. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.6. 


Ryan Braddock SS / 2B / Williston, FL / 2022

5-foot-9, 147-pound athletic frame. Capable in the box, Braddock clocked an exit velocity of 89 mph. (59.44 mph bat speed average). (18.74 mph hand speed average). Starts in a closed open stance with a wrapping tight load, then uses a toe tap stride. Has a level uphill swing plane and efficient bat speed. Had some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 78 mph; shows a quick natural exchange, soft hands, and fluid feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Showed consistent accuracy to the base with a short arm action and a high ¾ slot. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.98 60-yard dash. 


Ayden Cham 1B / C / Miami Christian, FL / 2021

Barry University Commit, 6-foot-2, 235-pound physical mature frame. Projectable at the plate, Cham was ranked 1st with an exit velocity of 102 mph. (66.59 mph bat speed average). (22.49 mph hand speed average). Begins in a tall stance with a small load, then uses a controlled small leg kick stride. Bat speed was above average, had a short upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 82 mph; had consistent hands, average footwork, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. While catching, his strong arm produced efficient throws to second at velocities up to 80 mph; has consistent feet, soft hands, and a quick exchange. produced pop times of 2.18-2.28. Some flexibility and athletic setup. Used a high ¾ slot with a long arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Recorded a 60 time of 7.82 at the event. 


Billy Eich 1B / RHP / Wharton, FL / 2022

6-foot-6, 220-pound lengthy build. Capable at the plate, Eich had a max exit velocity of 92 mph. (65.51 mph bat speed average). (17.63 mph hand speed average). Began in an open athletic stance with a tight load, then used a leg kick stride. Bat speed was quick, showed a short uphill swing plane and high finish. In the round he found some barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 82 mph; had firm hands, choppy footwork, and a developing exchange. Movements laterally were raw and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a longer arm action with a high ¾ slot. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.39. 


Spencer Fasold RHP / 3B / DeLand, FL / 2021

ASA JC (FL) Commit, 6-foot-1, 180-pound athletic build. Capable on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had a high ¾ arm angle and a long arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed athletic balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 80-82 mph; shows control in the zone and running action. (Max spin 2262; Avg 2102). Threw a 10/4 curveball (66-69) with some action and in the zone command. (Max spin 2034; Avg 1982). 


Connor Fosnow 3B / 2B / Lake Brantley, FL / 2022

6-foot-2, 210-pound solid athletic frame. Above average at the plate, the right-handed hitter was ranked 2nd with an exit velocity of 100 mph. (69.05 mph bat speed average). (23.08 mph hand speed average). Begins in a crouched balanced stance with a controlled arm bar load, then uses a small leg kick stride. Bat speed is electric, exhibits a level uphill swing plane and level finish. He produced loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap approach. Capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 83 mph; showed soft hands, a natural exchange, and choppy quick feet. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a long arm action with a high ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.94. 


Riley Hansen OF / 3B / Timber Creek , FL / 2022

6-foot, 205-pound athletic mature build. Above average in the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 97 mph. (65.98 mph bat speed average). (18.98 mph hand speed average). Begins in a tall open stance with a controlled arm bar load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is quick efficient, shows a short level swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 88 mph; shows a natural exchange, fluid feet, and soft hands. Athletic above average in the outfield, he showed a plus arm and had life on his throws with a position velocity of 95 mph;had soft hands, a quick natural exchange, and athletic footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a short quick arm action and an-over-the-top slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.8. 


Preston Herce 3B / SS / Key West , FL / 2022

6-foot, 195-pound athletic mature frame. Above average during batting practice, Herce had an exit velocity of 95 mph. (63.49 mph bat speed average). (17.43 mph hand speed average). Begins in an athletic open stance with an arm bar tight load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is efficient quick, has a level uphill swing plane and a front foot finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Up the middle pull side approach. Above average showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 87 mph; has a clean exchange, soft hands, and quick fluid feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.63. 


Mason Holman OF / 1B / Cooper City , FL / 2022

6-foot, 163-pound lean athletic build. Athletic at the plate, Holman's best exit velocity was 89 mph. (66.63 mph bat speed average). (22.88 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced tall stance with a quick load, then uses a short stride. Has average bat speed, short level swing plane and high finish. In his round he found lots of barrels with some loud contact. Up the middle approach. Smooth capable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 76 mph; shows soft hands, consistent feet, and a quick clean exchange. Capable in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 79 mph; showed sure consistent hands, a quick natural exchange, and athletic feet. Fields the ball to the side, movements laterally were average. From a high ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a loose arm action. Displayed speed and athleticism at the event, recording a 60 time of 6.95. 


James Laufman RHP / 3B / Sandalwood, FL / 2022

6-foot-1, 170-pound athletic frame. Raw at the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 82 mph. (55.70 mph bat speed average). (18.86 mph hand speed average). Starts in an open wide stance with a small arm bar load, then uses a leg kick stride. Bat speed is average, uses a level swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels during his rounds. Athletic on the mound, had a long arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with some arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows some effort. He has even shoulders and a tall athletic balance point. Kaleb Lopez 2B / SS / Everglades , FL / 2021

5-foot-8, 170-pound athletic solid frame. Capable during batting practice, Lopez had an exit velocity of 85 mph. (57.55 mph bat speed average). (17.66 mph hand speed average). Jake Nolte RHP / OF / Bloomingdale, FL / 2022

5-foot-11, 170-pound mature sturdy frame. Capable on the mound, showing consistent arm speed he used an over-the-top arm angle with a loose arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Displays in line shoulders with an athletic balance point. Lands closed with a clean finish. Curveball (66-70 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 78-80 mph and topped out at 82 mph; had consistent command and tailing action. (Max spin 1977; Avg 1880). Threw his sharp changeup (70-73) with control around the zone and fading action. Had decent command and sweeping tight action on his slider (70-74). (Max spin 2097; Avg 1993). 


Max Oliveira C / 3B / Tarpon Springs, FL / 2022

6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic build. Capable during batting practice, Oliveira displayed an exit velocity of 97 mph, Ranks #3 with EV at the event. (68.06 mph bat speed average). Jackson Raper RHP / SS / Bishop Moore, FL / 2022

6-foot, 168-pound lean solid frame. Capable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 90 mph. (59.65 mph bat speed average). (21.67 mph hand speed average). Dylan Stojanovic 1B / OF / St Joseph Academy, FL / 2022

Nic Taylor OF / OF / Leon, FL / 2021

6-foot-3, 195-pound athletic physical build. Capable in the box, Taylor clocked an exit velocity of 92 mph. (61.85 mph bat speed average). (22.48 mph hand speed average). Starts in an athletic stance with a quick load, then uses a controlled leg kick stride. Had a short simple swing plane, average bat speed and high finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Solid in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 85 mph; shows athletic feet, a quick exchange, and sure hands.
