UNSIGNED SENIORS - Jacksonville

Frank Ferrante 1B / 3B / Ponte Vedra, FL / 2019

Lean, athletic, projectable, and strong body. Quiet at the plate with a short, quick swing. Flat swing plane that produces hard line drives to all fields. Stays inside the ball well and has an up the middle approach.

Matthew Moss SS / 3B / Buchholz, FL / 2019

Uncommitted. Currently stands at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds with a stocky, athletic frame. Defensively, he shows confident hands and fields the ball under control while showing some range up the middle. Throws to the bag topped out at 75 mph. Offensively, he starts from a wide base with a slightly open stance and a big leg kick for his load. When he is on time and in rhythm, he showed the ability to drive the ball back up the middle and to the pull side. Registered an 82 mph exit velocity in the cage. On the mound, he works from a simple wind up with a big leg kick for his delivery, throwing out of the high ¾ slot with some extension out in front. Featured a fastball that mostly sat 74-75 mph, touching 76 while also mixing in a 67-69 mph curveball that showed depth.

Dawson Fietsam OF / LHP / Trinity Christian Academy, FL / 2019

08/25/18- Uncommitted, athletic, compact body with fast twitch tools. Started the day running a 6.93 60 yard dash time. Continued to show well in the outfield with on line throws topping out at 86 mph. Where he really stood out was with the bat. Smooth, left handed stroke with potential pull side power and showed the ability to gap-to-gap. Great feel for the barrel, also was 82-83 mph on mound with an average breaking ball.

Emmanuel Cavieres C / 3B / Mandarin, FL / 2019

5-foot-9, 200 pound stocky catcher. Defensively, he has strong wrists and a clean transfer. Pop times ranged from 2.1-2.2 and topped out at 71 mph. Offensively, he starts slightly open and a small leg kick trigger. A somewhat short stride, when he clears the back side he generates bat speed and an exit velocity of 84 mph.

Michael Alexander C / RHP / Allen D Nease H.S., FL / 2019

01/13/18- Currently stands at 6-foot, 175 pounds with an athletic build and a strong lower half. At the plate he starts from a wide base with a small step for his load. There is some stiffness in his swing and can cut himself off at times, but shows strength in his swing. As he becomes more fluid through the zone, he should see an increase in power and consistency at the plate. Behind the plate he registered pop times in the 2.05-2.30 second range and his throws topping out at 70 mph down to second.

D'Emiliano Whiters SS / 2B / Flagler-Palm Coast, FL / 2019

Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 170-pound, athletic, wiry-build, right-handed infielder. Open setup, slight knee inflection, hands start low, load back and slightly up, short stride, maintains balance. Line drive approach to the pull-side, uphill plane to barrel path. Defensively, hands work at shortstop, quick on transfers to release, fields position athletically.
