Scouting Report

10/14/17- Florida State recruit. Compact swing from both sides of the plate. Created consistent, hard contact with multiple line drives into the gaps. Also put multiple balls over the fence from both sides of the plate during batting practice. Went 4-for-4 during the first game which included three singles and a triple deep to centerfield.  He is an average runner, but has above average instincts and feel for the position. Quality first step, lateral agility and takes efficient angles to the point to be an average to above average defender and stick at shortstop . The bat really plays up and has a professional approach.

7/29/17 - Put on a show in the derby, exhibiting easy right-handed power. The wind was blowing in, but he had no trouble putting nine balls into the bleachers in the first round. He hit five more in the final, but ultimately lost to Gorman.

7/28/17 - Was the clear middle infield standout. The solidly built 6-foot-2, 192-pound switch-hitting Florida State recruit looks to be the premier shortstop draft prospect after Brice Turang (Corona HS, CA), who is not in attendance. De Sedas checks all the boxes, including showing power from both sides of the plate, with the right being the more prominent side. He also showed easy carry across the infield and natural middle infield actions.

03/21/17 - Overall, the switch hitter immediately stands out defensively with plus defensive action and soft hands. He has plenty of range with an average arm and quick release. There is a lot of athleticism in his actions, but his overall feel for the position is very apparent. Offensively, he only hit from the left side this evening, but it was equally as impressive as his defense. He showed an advanced approach, consistently working to the middle of the field. He has has a balanced lower half and short, level swing. He works gap-to-gap, but there is plenty of bat speed and strength in the lower half to project above average power. Nander is an overall well rounded and athletic shortstop with a lot of present tools and big potential.

10/08/16- FSU commit, the 6-foot-1, 190 pound shortstop showed why is one of the top players in the 2018 class. He has plus defensive actions at the premier position and has plenty of arm to stay at short. Offensively, similar from both sides, he a short quick swing with some present pull power especially from the left side. He is athletic and projectable and would expect him to stay as one of the top players in the class and be a draft prospect.

10/05/16- Committed to Florida State University.

05/28/16- Uncommitted, the 6-foot-1 185 pound middle infielder playing up an age group with the 17u FTB Tucci team, has not looked out of place at all. Lean, athletic and quick twitch he has good hands, range and enough arm to see him staying at short. At the plate there is still some length from both sides of the plate, but there is a lot of bat speed as well as some above average power potential. Expect to see Nander continue to be a high end prospect as he has more at-bats and continues to fill out.
