Scouting Report

03/30/18- South Carolina recruit. Currently stands at 6-foot-2, 185 pounds with an athletic, projectable frame. Alexander had a huge week at the plate and it continued yesterday when he had a couple of hard hit balls, including an RBI single he drove up the middle late in the game. To close things out, he hopped on the mound as showed a very quick arm as the ball seemed to jump on hitters, sitting mostly at 91-93 mph, touching 94 along with a hard, sharp slider that came in at 79-80 mph. Alexander has always shown a plus arm in the field, but has shown that he has the ability on the mound as well. Very high follow leading up to the draft.

03/29/18- South Carolina recruit. The results weren't there on either side as he was 0-3 with an error, but you can see the tools. He is very athletic and moves well and shows the plus arm. Offensively, there's some length and steepness, but also leverage and strength. A lot of tools to like and follow.

03/27/18- South Carolina recruit. Athletic, projectable frame with smooth, athletic actions in the field and a plus arm across the diamond. Shows bounce in his step. At the plate he displayed above average bat speed with some pull side power, looking to drive the ball into the gaps. Went 1-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. High draft follow.

10/15/17- South Carolina recruit. Athletic frame with room to fill out. Stands out immediately in the field with natural, athletic actions and a plus arm across the diamond. Takes good angles to the ball, moves laterally to his right and left with ease. Offensively, he hits from an upright stance. He trusts his hands and they are quick through the zone. He has some length and can tend to spin off of his lower half and get rotational at times. There is a lot of present bat speed and athleticism to like and that makes him a high follow going forward.

10/23/16- South Carolina recruit. 6-foot-1, 160 pounds with a lean, athletic, projectable build. This past weekend he showed a higher hand set in the box along with a better path through the zone which resulted in multiple line drives and a few balls going over the left-center field wall during batting practice. He looked to be more comfortable at the plate and stayed balanced throughout his swing. Had a line drive single into left field during the game. Hustles down the line out of the box and has a plus arm from the left side of the infield. Made a tough barehanded play with an accurate throw while being off balance to start a double play.

5/14/16- South Carolina commit who stands at 6-foot-1, 160 pounds with a lean, athletic, and projectable body with loose and natural actions all over the field. He is ranked 11th in Florida and 20th overall. At shortstop he has soft hands with solid footwork. He has plus arm strength as he has been clocked at 95 mph throwing across the diamond. At the plate he has an open stance, low hands, and good rhythm. He has a short, quick swing with a nice place through the zone that allows him to consistently make solid contact. There is a noticeable difference in his approach and power from a year ago. Look for him to continue to improve with reps, maturity, and added strength.

5/13/16- South Carolina recruit. Currently ranked No. 11 in the Florida 2018 class, No. 20 overall. Lean, athletic, projectable body on a 6-foot-1, 160 pound frame. Shows good actions and quick feet in the field. Soft hands, makes the plays, and shows a quick first step to the ball with range. Reads hops well. Strong, accurate arm with carry from across the diamond. At the plate he has a low hand set with an open stance. Short swing with quick hands. Gets out of the box quickly and hustles on the base paths.

11/9/15- Committed to University of South Carolina.

5/20/15 - 5-foot-11 150 pounds with a tall, lean, athletic, and projectable body. Will grow and add strength as he matures. Quick, light feet in the field. Soft hands and he can really pick it. Plus arm with accuracy. Slightly open at the plate and gets a nice separation for his load. Short, quick swing. Quiet at the plate and stays inside the ball well. Looks like an above average runner.

3/4/15 - 5-foot-11, 145 pound third baseman. Brother of short stop CJ. Good offensive approach and an above avg ML arm with smooth fielding actions and soft hands. He plays the game with advanced rhythm and confidence.  He could be a special player when the strength comes
