Levi KellyRHP Levi Kelly, the No. 1-ranked 2018 overall prospect in the Prep Baseball Report coverage area, has announced that he will be transferring to IMG Academy for his sophomore year. As a freshman at West Virginia power Nitro HS, Kelly established himself as one of the top prospects in the country.

The physically advanced 6-foot-3, 195-pound Kelly is already verbally committed to LSU. His fastball has been up to 91 mph, regularly sitting in the 87-89 mph range. Kelly’s mid-70s curveball also can be a go-to pitch at times.

As a freshman, Kelly helped Nitro advance to the West Virginia AAA state championship game, where it lost to Jefferson, 2-1. Aside from his prowess on the mound, Kelly batted .292 with 10 doubles, three homers and 16 RBI. He finished with a 3-3 record and a 2.74 ERA while striking out 46 in 30.2 innings.

The addition of Kelly gives IMG Academy yet another high-level prospect at the Bradenton school.
