Uncommitted 2016 South Florida Standouts

The annual Dynasty Games were held Tuesday in Davie, FL, for the top seniors (and a few of the top juniors) in the South Florida area. Every year, multiple players who attend this event are drafted and almost 100—including Alex Rodriguez and Manny Machado—have made it to the major leagues. Needless to say, it is an honor to be invited to this event and this year’s pool of talent did not disappoint.

The vast majority of players who attended were obviously committed, but there were still a few very good prospects with the ability to play at the Division I level. Here are a few uncommitted seniors who will play at the next level and may even have the talent to get drafted if they have a strong senior season:

Ryan Hernandez, C, St. Brendan HS, FL
Hernandez has a strong and athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds and really showed a calm confidence throughout the event that made him stick out. He was the first hitter to take batting practice and he turned some heads as he showed an advanced approach with good rhythm and noticeable bat speed. He hit a few balls out in batting practice and hit a major league fly ball in the game that was caught at the wall off of a 92-mph fastball. What really makes Hernandez an asset is his plus throwing arm and 1.85-1.90 pop times. He will likely commit to a D-I school soon and could be drafted in June.
