With the 2019 season coming to an end and the 2019 MLB Draft finished, it is time to take a look at the Class of 2020. Many players in the Class of 2020 had excellent high school seasons and some even showed out at our recent showcases, thus creating some movement in our rankings. Many of these players should be kept an eye on for the 2020 MLB Draft. Let’s take a look at the Top-10 prospects from the Class of 2020.

Coming in at the top spot is OF Dylan Crews (Lake Mary; LSU). The right-handed outfielder has established himself as not only the best player in the state, but one of the best in the country. At 6-foot 180 pounds, Crews runs a 6.93 60. He has an advanced approach at the plate and drives the ball with gap-to-gap power. Defensively, he moves well in the outfield and could stick in center, but his bat will play no matter where he plays in the outfield.

Coming in at number two is RHP Carson Montgomery (Windermere; Florida State). At 6-foot-2 185 pounds Montgomery has a athletic, strong frame. His fastball sits 90-94 and has topped out at 95. He also has a 86 mph slider with tight spin that can be a true put away pitch. There is not much to dislike about Montgomery and he is showing why he is one of the best pitchers in the country.

At our third spot in the Class of 2020 rankings is LHP Timmy Manning (Cardinal Gibbons; Florida). Manning is a tall, lanky left-hander at 6-foot-2 175 pounds. He features a fastball that sits 87-89 and has touched 91. He also has a hard curveball at 78 mph. He has good stuff with a lot of projection.

Coming in at number four is C/RHP Jackson Miller (JW Mitchell; Wake Forest). At 6-foot 190 pounds, Miller is a very athletic catcher. He blocks and receives very well and has a consistent 1.95 pop time. Offensively, he has a good balanced approach with great barrel awareness and has shown the ability to have power potential to all fields. Miller can also be a force on the mound with a fastball that sits 88-90 mph.

Rounding out the top five is SS Yohandy Morales (Braddock; Miami). Morales is a big, tall, athletic shortstop at 6-foot-4 180 pounds. Defensively, his actions are easy and athletic on the left side. His right-handed bat plays and has a lot of upside to it.
