All eight of the Georgia high schoolers who were on the final 2018 PBR Draft Board were selected, six in the top seven rounds with the other two sliding to the back of the draft, presumably due to signability concerns. Per PBR National Supervisor Nathan Rode, more than 98% of players selected in the top ten rounds from 2012-2017 signed, so it's unlikely that any of the first eight players above make it to campus. Bonus pool limitations outside of the top ten rounds make it more difficult to pry high schoolers out of their college commitments, but it would not be shocking to see a few day three selections choose to begin their pro career immediately.

Other notes:

  • Redan led the way with three players selected, while Cartersville and Brookwood had two apiece.
  • Ten players selected are committed to SEC schools, six to ACC schools, two to the Sun Belt and one each to the Big 12, Big East, Conference USA, and Ohio Valley. There was also one Division II commit and one junior college signee selected.
  • The Nationals selected three Georgia preps, while the Tigers, Athletics, White Sox, Red Sox, Diamondbacks and Pirates took two each.
