PBR Junior Future Games: Team Georgia Game 1 Recaps

The first gameplay action at the 2022 Junior Future Games is complete! Take a look to see how Team Georgia's squads fared.

Team Georgia 13u 6, Mississippi 8
Team Georgia 13u battled hard for 7 frames, but fell short to Team Mississippi 8-6. Georgia jumped out early 2-0 in the first, but the bats of Mississippi came out firing as well, eventually tying the game back up 4-4 in the B4, before taking command with a 4-run 5th inning. Team Georgia fought back in their last AB in the 7th, scoring two runs but ultimately losing the ballgame 8-6.

  • Lee Holt - 2-3, 2 R, 2 RBI

  • Braxton Glaze - 1-1, 1 RBI

Caleb Hudson, OF/SS, Carrollton, 2027
Uncommitted. High-waisted, but smaller frame with athleticism and plenty of room to fill out. Stands balanced at the plate with some flex in his knees and a high back elbow. Sinks into his back knee as he loads and strides, creating quality connection between his front foot and as he comes thru in his swing. Short path in the zone with a nice approach, able to square balls up in any quadrant and shoot them to all parts of the ballpark. Quick hands with some strength as well, an exciting ballplayer to keep an eye on as he ages.


Lee Holt, C/RHP, Kings Ridge Christian, 2027
Uncommitted. Tall frame at 6-foot, 150-pounds with natural strength. Stands balanced at the dish with his knees pointed inward, creating an easy transition to stay loose during his swing. Medium leg kick with a chest load, landing soft on plant foot. In control of the barrel with his loose wrists, can change plane easily and can match pitch height wherever its located in the zone.

Miller Greene, 1B, Jones County, 2027
Uncommitted. Strong, but still maturing frame at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds. Leans slightly back in setup but is balanced and tall in his stance with a high back elbow. Does a nice job keeping his weight back as he strides, as that power stays uncorked before letting loose with his swing. Big power potential based on his frame alone, but his quick swing suggests its coming sooner rather than later.


Team Georgia 1 14u 10, Oklahoma 9
A back and forth affair from the first pitch with several lead changes throughout, was a game of momentum. Team Georgia jumped in front 8-4 in the T4 before giving the lead right back in the bottom half. The game was 9-8 in favor of Oklahoma heading to the top of the 5th before a Cam Jackson walk and Branson Crawford double set up runners on 2nd and 3rd. A passed ball scored Jackson to tie the game, then Garrett Ray delivers the go-ahead blow with a base hit to put Team Georgia up 10-9. Ray would then hop on the mound to secure the final 3 outs and sealed the victory for Georgia’s 14u 1 team.

Christian Starks, MIF/RHP, Pickens, 2026
Uncommitted. Has a relaxed and quiet set up at the plate. Little to no movement pre pitch. His hips and hands stay connected. Keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. Twitchy swing, really jumps on the fastball. Handled good velocity with ease, able to shoot an 81mph fastball back up the middle for a bases loaded RBI. Big power potential in his strong frame. 


Branson Crawford, Catcher, Gainesville, 2026
Uncommitted. Smoked a double into the RCF gap that would send the tying run to 3rd base and put himself, the go ahead run, in scoring position. He would eventually come around to score and put Team Georgia ahead 10-9 going into the final inning. Crawford possesses a smooth stroke at the plate with a balanced approach that does not see him cheat early. Has also posted pop times as low as the 1.9’s which is very intriguing for a catching prospect his age!


Garrett Ray, RHP/OF, Creekview, 2026
Uncommitted. Ray showed a lot of poise in his second inning of work during Wednesday nights game. Hit the go ahead 2 RBI single in the top half of the inning and then came in to shut the door against team Oklahoma in the final inning to give Team Georgia the win! Ray sat 74-77 with the FB and his final out of the game, a strikeout, came on his fastest pitch of the day at 78mph. Athletic mover whose velo will only continue to grow as he matures!


Team Georgia 2 14u 3, Wisconsin 9
Unfortunately for Team Georgia, the bats could not stay alive long enough. Starting pitcher Maverick Chitwood displayed some resilience through his first couple of innings which resulted in some errors behind him. Line drives continued to test the Wisconsin outfielders, but they answered the call. Tough outs and defensive plays are common in the game of baseball and hopefully we will be able to bounce back tomorrow night!

  • Robert Bock: 0-0, 2 walks, 1 R


Jordan Walker, OF/LHP, Hillgrove, 2026
Uncommitted. Athletic wiry frame. Starts tall and stays tall at the plate. He coils/ sinks into his back hip. He has an efficient barrel path and his hands fire through the zone. Shows ability to create good launch angle. He hammered a ball over the center fielders head for a triple for Team Georgia. Took long athletic strides around the bases, future good runner.


Harry Jones, RHP/IF, Mceachern, 2026
Uncommitted. Jones possesses a lot of raw upside both in the field and on the mound. He was up to 83mph and sat 78-81 with sinking life low in the zone. Wiry, loose frame that only projects for him to get stronger+bigger in the future. His SL proved to be a swing and miss weapon in the low 70’s with up to 2400 spin and late downer sweep. A prospect I am sure the rest of Georgia will know about fairly soon!


Kenny Foudy, C, North Hall, 2026
Uncommitted. The catcher was finding barrels all night for Team Georgia. He has good rhythm before the pitch. He sinks into his backside and his hands work back into a great launch position. Twitchy swing at the dish. Hammered multiple line drives, handling the fastball with ease and showing a lot of confidence both at the plate and behind it. Moved well and looked athletic at catcher. Big bat to keep an eye on.
