Gavin Gebhardt, RHP/SS, Cambridge, 2028
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 160-pounds. Impressive tools on display as the hit tool and the arm on the mound stood-out. Ran the FB up to 86, sat in the 85 to 81 range showing an over the top arm slot with a quick release, 20”+ IVB, showing 2400 rpm with slight arm-side run and sink. Flashed the CV in the the low 70’s with gradual feel and ability to manipulate, 12/6, sharp breaker. A confident arm with high tempo. Collected six strikeouts through three innings. Hit the ball well on Monday morning of bracket play, showing a middle-pull approach with an aggressive swing. Syncs up nicely and shows an accurate feel for the barrel. A name to know in this 2028 class.
Micah Von, C/INF, Lakeside, 2028
Uncommitted. 5-foot-10, 150-pounds. The bat was alive this weekend as the hits showed a heavy pull-middle approach. Took advantage of runners in scoring position and capitalized with hard hitting line-drives. Somewhat of a high leg kick, gets the front foot down and gains positive ground that pairs nicely with a strong upper-half swing. Strong wrists and ability to get the arms extended made for some loud barrels. A wall behind the plate, soft leather that can stick it for called strikes. A strong showing this weekend batting in the clean-up spot.
Liam Collier, LHP/1B, Locust Grove, 2027
Uncommitted. 5-foot-11, 170-pounds. Interesting start on the mound during the semi-final game on Monday morning as the lefty showcased a two pitch mix that filled up the zone and generated weak contact. FB ran up to 81 with an arm-side run, showed good command that collected whiffs. CH was his go-to pitch at 72-70 with arm-side fade with slight drop-off that showed killed spin at 1400 rpm. The hit tool was present as well. Simple load that gets the front foot down on a top-half dominant swing. Strong internal rotation gets the hands out-front with quickness to smoke balls off the barrel for loud exits. Showed low 90 EV’s throughout the weekend.
Maddux Hasty, LHP, Silverdale Baptist (TN), 2027
Uncommitted. 6-foot-0, 185-pounds. Quick glance on Sunday morning as the lefty was working nicely. FB topped at 79 and sat in the upper 70’s with consistency; gradual with ride and slight ASR. CV was a strong pitch that worked well against LHH, 70-69 with a 12/6 break that crippled opposing lefties. Tossed five innings of two hit baseball and the ability to generate weak contact via pop-fly and ground-balls. Jammed guys and the arm slot remained the same with the CV pairing nicely off the FB. Expect the FB to pick up speed as the arm continues to develop. Strong follow.
Brody Libel, RHP, Glenbard North (IL), 2027
Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 165-pounds. Strong outing for the tall right hander as the stuff was lively early. FB ran up to 80 sitting at 79-77; heavy. Battled command issues early on but settled in and became a dominant pitch to collect whiffs with. Threw the CV with confidence in the mid-to-low 70’s. Showed a slight slurve shape with some sharp break that confused RHH. Deceptive sequences that had hitters guessing all morning. Final statline: 5.0 IP / 0 H / 0 ER / 2 K’s.
Camren Naggles, RHP, Whitewater, 2028
Uncommitted. 5-foot-7, 165-pounds. Eye-opening start as it was the first glance at the young right hander. FB was lively and working early, topped out at 83 and sat above 80 with consistency; arm-side life with sink, and good command. Paired nicely with a SL that was thrown methodically and in the mid 70’s; sweeper with manipulation, collected swings and misses. Worked batters quickly and with high tempo, mixing up sequences and had hitters jammed and off-balanced. Showed good feel on the mound with 7 K’s through 4.0 IP.
Andrew Booth, SS/RHP, Lakeside, 2028
Uncommitted. 6-foot-2, 160-pounds. Cranked a ball deep to left-field on Friday evening as the hit tool was on full display. Showed the ability to catch up to a mid 80’s arm with an aggressive approach and ferocious swing. Simple movements in the box with a short load that has a top-half dominant hack that syncs up nicely and has quick hands. Advanced feel for the barrel and had multiple loud exits throughout the weekend for the physical R/R.
Lincoln Ingemanson, OF, Brookwood, 2027
Uncommitted. 5-foot-10, 165-pounds. Super impressive night at the plate on Friday (10/4) as he had a 4-for-4 game with multiple XBH. His last at-bat he shattered his bat and still managed to reach on a line-drive into left field for a single. Strong and physical build with good pitch recognition. Loose hands with strong wrists that allow the barrel to get out front and he gets extended. Physical lower-half that pairs well with a strong upper-half swing. Aggressive approaches with a confident mentality from the right side. Excellent display of hitting all weekend, a fun player to watch as he continues to develop, a good name to know for this 2028 class.
Logan Peralta, C, Dacula, 2027
Uncommitted. The sophomore produced on both sides of the ball over the weekend. A confident presence in the box, the athletic RHH perpetually delivers firm contact. Syncs up well while creating good separation and stays compact to deliver a heavy barrel. Well-leveraged through the zone and an easy mover through impact. On the defensive side, behind the plate Peralta is a savvy defender and can limit the run game with his IQ and present arm-strength. Has added noticeable size and strength with projection still remaining. Looks to be a key contributor at Dacula in the Spring.
Bobby Arnold, OF, Battlefield (VA), 2028
Uncommitted. Highly impressive look at ‘24 Junior Future Gamer over the weekend as the tools were on full display at the Underclass Fall World Series. The LHH delivers a quick, compact stroke with twitchy hands that deliver the barrel in an instant and innate bat-to-ball to match. A field general in CF, as Arnold showed off the range countless times getting to balls deep in the gap. Also caused havoc on the base-paths with the above-average speed. The tools already scatter the profile at just 14 years old. Arnold looks to be a must know name in the ‘28 class for the upcoming years.
Terrishawn (JR) Asberry, C/OF, Westlake, 2027
Uncommitted. The primary backstop produced quality swing after quality swing over the weekend batting atop the order in the leadoff spot. A highly projectable athletic frame at 6-foot-3, 195-pounds. Delivers a compact stroke with a clear feel for the barrel that produces loud exits. Consistently battles and works a quality at-bat and isn't afraid to hit with two-strikes, highlighting the mature approach at the plate. There is an obvious hit/power profile here for Asberry. Poised for a breakout season at Westlake this Spring.
Andrew Wolfe, INF, Etowah, 2027
Uncommitted. The sophomore continues to look at the part this Fall string together barrel after barrel. An athletic RHH with a balanced approach that results in the ability to spray the ball to all-fields. Shows an innate ability to sync up and to deliver a well-leveraged barrel. The above-average feel for the barrel continues to stand out. Went 3-for-3 with a 2B/ 1B/ 2 RBI’s in a win on Friday evening. Looks to make an impact in the Spring with a loaded Etowah lineup.
Colby Yeager, 1B, West Forsyth, 2028
Uncommitted. A highly projectable frame, an imposing left-handed presence in the box. Showed off the hit tool on Friday night by collecting multiple backside knocks. Simple actions at the plate with length in the zone that allows for Yeager to make consistent hard contact and spray the ball to all-fields. The obvious feel for the barrel was on full display. Shows the ability to match plane at a high-level. Name to know at West Forsyth in the Spring with hit/power upside.
