2025 Georgia Preview: Dacula Falcons

The 2025 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

Team Strengths: Offense and Defense.  A lot of experience in the lineup returning.

TEAM OUTLOOK

We got a chance to talk with MJ Allen, DJ Quary, Jared Glenn and Reiston Durham on Tuesday at the Gwinnett County media day. They are super motivated for the 2025 season and have something to prove. They return an experienced line up that could help them get past the sweet 16 that they made a year ago. Those 4 will lead the charge and with the help of Ryan Higdon, Samuel Zaa, and Cody Bullard on the mound they should have a recipe for a successful season. All 3 of them have tallied varsity innings and will be experienced for 2025. Junior Jacob Mayfield will look to contribute both on the mound and at the plate this season. Grant Dzikowski saw innings as a junior and will be a go to guy out of the pen. The Falcons could also see his brother, Reid Dzikowski get some time as a sophomore. Sophomore catcher Logan Peralta is another underclassmen to keep an eye on this season. He has performed well on the summer circuit. Coach Bova has had a couple strong seasons in recent years and has high expectations for this ‘25 group.
