The 2025 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.
Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.
Please keep checking back throughout the season as we will be your one-stop shop for everything related to high school baseball across the state.
Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK
The Bulldogs lose a big piece in Missouri recruit Trey Callaway to graduation, but return a group that could seize a potential playoff berth. Junior RHP/OF Taver Harden anchors the staff as SP1 exhibiting present pitchability with plenty of projection remaining in the 6-foot-3, 210 frame. When not on the mound, Harden locks down a spot in the outfield. Dual-sport athlete and QB1, 2026 Michael Johnson Jr. further bolsters the pitching staff behind Harden as an upper-80’s arm. As well as supplying athleticism to the outfield and line-up. Junior Devin Kendall will be a major piece in the line-up showing impressive bat-to-ball in an all-fields approach paired with high-level defense up the middle. Seniors Trey Webb and Raoul Clark return as they hold senior leadership and provide depth to the line-up. The Bulldogs will likely work in a plethora of underclassmen starting with Ethan Wilson, who appears in line to contribute during his sophomore campaign. Tying up the underclass talent is a trio of gifted incoming freshmen consisting of Jakobb Mobley, Kobe Hayden, and Kayden Carter who all look to come in and make an instant impact from day one. Dutchtown will have a strong starting rotation and will have to rely on their freshmen to make an impression in the offense. Coach Mclendon and the Bulldogs will be a team to watch in region 3-5A.
